Please help me I have frizzy hair and I am going somewhere humid on hols

I saw a post a while back and thought I would remember the products recommended for taming the "frizz" when visiting somewhere that is humid. I know it will go frizzy but just need to make it less so. Please help x

Get up, put conditioner onto dry hair, leave on all day. Rinse off at night. Only works if you are lying on a beach etc rather than going on day trips. Where you off to

Nothing to be done over the counter. If it is s e Asia you'll want to wash it every day anyway due to the sweating.

However ...Wellastrate or xtenso done by a competent hairdresser will sort it. Get it done a few weeks ahead. Should last a year.

There are a few threads raving about the Brazilian home hair straightening kit from Amazon. It apparently lasts for 6 weeks and makes your hair straight and frizz free even in damp conditions.

I did the Brazilian keratin treatment mentioned above two weeks ago and I'm loving it so far

My hair's very very coarse & wavy/curly in all directions with no clear curl pattern, almost like Afro hair in texture but with less of a curl

Took a while but it wasn't difficult, if you're able to blow dry and straighten your hair it's fine

It was horribly flat and lifeless in the three days before I washed the treatment off but my hair is so nice now- it's not straight but much softer and more uniform in texture, I'm able to just wash it and leave it for the first time in my life

I'm washing it later so will post before/after pics if they'd be helpful?

Yes, I'd like to see before and after! Been uhmming and ahhing about trying this Brazillian stuff as I'm worried about how hard it will be to do at home.

It's really not particularly difficult, just time consuming and a bit of a faff. I did it whilst very hungover though so that didn't help but was still possible!

What's your hair like naturally and do you straighten it normally?

Hi I have frizzy hair that I have to straighten every day but it goes better for my hairdresser than for me! To add to my woes my hair is completely white but I have some bleached and a brown added in as well. That's a whole other thread though! We are going to Disney, Florida soon. I was hoping for some products I could use to leave in or minimise the frizz or pube hair as I am sure it will be called. Help me please xxx

Do you have to wear it down for the whole three days after you've treated it? I like to straighten my hair but wear it up most of the time. not sure if I could stand having it hanging in my face for 3 days without washing it.
Dizzy the Brazilian treatment sounds like something you could do before your hols? Especially if you can straighten it with irons yourself.
It's about £30 from Amazon for the kit.

I have super frizzy hair.

I probably would just wear it in a bun. nothing else would work for me

I wear sponge rollers to bed at night, after a quick spritz of leave in conditioner.
Have defined curls in the morning. Finger define, then put up with my butterfly clip or into a bun.
Now and again, when I take it down in the evening, it's soft and bouncy

I am not looking to use Keratin treatment at the moment as I am worried how my hair colour will be in the sun plus the how the humidity will affect the frizziness, I look like a spaniel who has had an electric shock if I don't try to tame it and it is just too much hair. Even my hairdresser despairs at it! Also my hair is just about long enough to try to put up so couldn't do a bun. I am dreading the photos!

In comparison I am more an Afghan hound when the hairdresser as weaved her magic for a couple of days that is.

Maybe you could try to go for the wet look on holiday by slicking it back with lots of leave in conditioner? Or maybe rocking a bandana or keeping it all back with sunglasses on your head?

This whole range is the work of a genius. I'd strongly recommend the mousse - comb it through when your hair is wet and leave to air dry.

You can sleep on it and then in the morning if you spritz your air with a bit of water and use your hands to scrunch up your curls you look like it's just been done.

Someone on here recommended Afro hair products for this, I have been using Cantu Shea butter shampoo and their leave in conditioning cream, and find it makes a big difference. I have had compliments about the lovely curl in my hair, whereas it was too frizzy to see the curls before. I get mine on EBay, haven't tried any other brands.

Coconut oil to define and tame.
A tiny bit rubbed through the hair to add gloss. Maybe a hairband, or clips at the side.
A scarf was suggested earlier. Tied glamorously around your hair?
