If you get a sore red inflamed spot do you put anything on it?

Got a couple on my cheek and they are sore and red :( used sudo cream last night but hasn't made much diff

I use the Clerasil rapid action spot treatment.

I was gutted to face a red spot on my wedding day. My make-up artist crushed an aspirin and mixed with a little water & applied the paste to my spot and left for about 20minutes.
It look the inflammation down quite quickly. She did mention that if done regularly it could be quite drying on the skin though

(Along the same lines as the post above) Salicylic acid is the active ingredient you're looking for. In toner form or in a spot cream. Or crushed aspirin, of course!

Germoline is very good for inflammation. It doesn't smell as strong as I remember it from childhood either!
