Deep blue mascara- nice or too 80's?

Some one mentioned on another thread that Max Factor Masterpiece doing a mascara in deep blue.

I'm old enough to remember wearing coloured mascara in the 80's so slightly dubious how blue is it, blue blue or blue black?

And what about eyeliner, what colour do you use with it?

The No7 navy really didn't do much for my eyelashes (though TBF, my eyelashes are a "challenge" )

I will try it over a black or dark brown. Even with my eyelash curlers, the No7 straightened them and wasn't thickening at all.
So it will be a top coat /accent I reckon.

I was just coming for an update!

Sooooo, have used the black no 7 for years, thickens and lengthens beautifully. When I tried the navy initially I put it on over the black and it looked great BUT on its own it's awful! Completely different formula to the black, thin and watery and can't build up any coats.

So I'm wearing it over the black and when it runs out I'll try another brand.
