MamaGotaLovelyNeatFanjo · 21/01/2007 18:23

its for my Mum

Comes in 44 colours apparently - thinking dove grey.

She's size 14 with browny/red bobbed hair.

She doesn't want to look like mutton and we both liked this (in diff colour)

I think she would look lovely

Tutter · 21/01/2007 18:28

i think it's lovely

is she tempted by any other colours?

YeahBut · 21/01/2007 18:28

Very nice!

MamaGotaLovelyNeatFanjo · 21/01/2007 18:29

well with browny-red hair i was thinking of a shade of green

or a gold-y colour?

MamaGotaLovelyNeatFanjo · 21/01/2007 18:33

Green looks ming on her, but a champagne colour would probably look lovely - good idea, I'll suggest it to her

was this something to do with the odd thread you posted this morning > i think it is a lovely dress !

Tutter · 21/01/2007 18:34

would just be a more 'special' colour, iyswim

a bronzey shade would be nice i think?

MamaGotaLovelyNeatFanjo · 21/01/2007 18:35

yes it is lulu - I've replied to the odd thread BTW

(it's quite a close-fitting dress btw, i hope your mother does too)

oxocube · 21/01/2007 19:21

I think its gorgeous. I would love to wear a dress like that

MamaGotaLovelyNeatFanjo · 21/01/2007 23:06

Tutter - we are already planning some sort of scaffolding type underwear

Thanks for the positive responses, she is quite anxious about looking a mess (isn't every bride?) and I thought AHA - I know where I'll go for opinions

bump - any more opinions - good/bad/ugly

MamaG · 22/01/2007 13:57

.

preggerspoppet · 22/01/2007 13:59

is there a bigger pic anywhere?

Aero · 22/01/2007 14:02

It's a lovely dress. I'm sure it will look gorgeous on her.

Tommy · 22/01/2007 14:02

very stylish - would she wear a hat wihth that?

MamaG · 22/01/2007 14:03

I can't find a bigger pic - its only a bit bigger on teh website and you have to search for it!

MamaG · 22/01/2007 14:03

I don't think she'd wear a hat - she feels silly in them! Maybe a fluffy thing!

snowleopard · 22/01/2007 14:08

It's gorgeous. If she has auburn-ish hair I think it would look nice in pink - if there's a subtle muted kind of dusty pink, obviously not really garish. At one of my friend's weddings her mum wore an outfit a bit like this in dusty pink and looked fab.

preggerspoppet · 22/01/2007 14:11

went to website, looked under special occasion and clicked on dress which ave me a huge pic -it's stunning, I liked the model's necklace too. would be dead proud of my mum in this.

(big pic looks very different)

preggerspoppet · 22/01/2007 14:12

agree, dusky pink would be very elegant

preggerspoppet · 22/01/2007 14:15

hang on, ouch, just seen the price! not sure it is worth that unless it feels that expensive on.

MrsBadger · 22/01/2007 15:26

I like it, very elegant

def a warm colour rather than grey though - champagne / gold / bronze all sound good.

MamaG · 22/01/2007 22:03

Well - Mum phoned me today to tell me she has found an ivory dress, completely different to this one!

Mothers, who'd have em!
