how soon can I dye my hair after henna?

I henna'd my hair for the second time about a week ago and not got the result I wanted - the henna hasn't covered my greys, more like just highlighted them Hmm How soon can I re-dye my hair with normal dye? (I'm thinking of trying the naturtint range from Holland and Barrett as they seem to have less chemicals than normal box dyes, unless I'm mistaken?)

I have heard that henna covers greys better if you add some salt to your mix.

Hi I saw loads of hairdressers after years of henna and all told me not to colour over. One suggested a strand test to see if the hair would stand it, but there were risks of green or breakage. I had it all cut off instead.

Shock oh my goodness ... Not liking that Noeuf!! I don't think I can wait for it all to grow out. The colour isn't good. After reading the thread on here about how amazing lush henna is, I was hoping it would transform my hair into glossy manageable locks with no grey in sight but sadly that hasn't happened. Not sure I'm brave enough to get it all chopped off Confused

Oh that's a shame, I love henna. It's not great on grey hair though - I used red and had some bright orange strands.
