well you sound very classy expat, this lady in the village bless her doesnt look it. you can see she wears stockings cause the skirt is very short! not that i stare of course, you just cant help looking

NappiesGalore · 20/01/2007 22:30

i dont have tree trunk legs, so i guess im alright to wear what i want.

and frankly, i dont give a toss if they look less leg lengtheing than heels - heels hurt and i cant be arsed to be in pain. unless its a special occasion (cant imagine what tho tbh!)

expatinscotland · 20/01/2007 22:48

Uggs can look allright.

On beanpole models w/mile-long legs.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 20/01/2007 22:53

Uggs are ugly, but very comfortable. I would go out in slippers if they didn't soak up puddles (and did once, without realising I was still wearing them)

I do wear Uggs for comfort reasons, and the fact that my office is f**ing freezing. I don't really care much about how I look - I lost interest in my appearance eons ago and think that once I got past 30 nobody is looking at much any more, so what the hell. I'd rather be comfortable than glamorous. God, that makes me sound like a frumpy old minger, doesn't it?

suedonim · 20/01/2007 23:03

Yup, that's dd1 alright, Expat! I like her Uggs cos every time she wears them I can say 'Oi, you've still got the price tag on the back of your boots.' and she can say 'I've told you before, it's a designer label.'

NappiesGalore · 20/01/2007 23:47

what, only once grumpy? i think ive done more than that, lol.

and lol suedo.

Biglips · 21/01/2007 09:33

I love my uggs and my trainers.

Uggs are the most comfortable thing I've ever put on my feet and I do comfort big time.

NbgsYellowFeathers · 21/01/2007 09:36

I lurrrrvve my uggs. Wear them with baggy jeans, they look great.
Love trainers too.

sunshinefairy · 21/01/2007 09:46

Ilove my uggs i have 3 pairs and would wear them all the time if I could get away with it at work. They soothes the souls of my feet.

noddyholder · 21/01/2007 09:54

I wear uggs and crocs and trainers

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 21/01/2007 10:40

The DDs have crocs, DD1 (12) has hot pink and DD2 (3) has bright green. They look lovely in them when we are in the US and they have tanned legs and brown feet. They buy (well, I do on their behalf) the little motifs you can clip on them - flamingoes, palm trees, turtles etc. I think they're cute....on kids.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 21/01/2007 10:42

BTW, before I get lynched for my DDs having a suntan, let me add that they both wear factor 40, but have the kind of skin that turns brown if the sun came out in Skegness in January (like their daddio)

CODNoMore · 21/01/2007 13:24

farkign hell
crocs nad uggs
what re you lot on
if i sold you agricultral workmens boots woudl you go fro them too?

northerner · 21/01/2007 13:43

Hate crocs with a passion.

Uggs look good on skinnly tall girls with little denim mimi skirts. Must admit though I borrowed my SIL's last year to play out in the snow with the kids and they were soooo comfy and warm.

But I'm with Coddo and expat. TRainers are for training in only. They never look stylish as day wear. It's wrong!

noddyholder · 21/01/2007 14:04

cod that is rich coming from someone who rates next

northerner · 21/01/2007 14:07

She has a skirt from Monsoon aswell you know...

CODNoMore · 21/01/2007 14:48

do I?

northerner · 21/01/2007 14:50

Am sure you once mentioned you own an item of clothing from Monsoon.

Might have been a blouse actually...

God, I hate that word 'blouse'. Who chooses to wear a blouse?!

No, Cod would not have a blouse.

CODNoMore · 21/01/2007 15:00

no its a kaftan type thing
i knwo i really htought i had hit middle age.

find their stuff too ronate in winter - often ok in summer
same for a lto of shops

northerner · 21/01/2007 15:04

I don't even venture into Monsoon. The window displays are enough to make me vom.

Same goes for East.

I don't do ethnic flouncy type look.

CODNoMore · 21/01/2007 15:05

Hmm east too ethnci for me

brimfull · 21/01/2007 15:08
