Do your DDs have floaty sparkly bridesmaid-type party dresses?!!

as i have just taken dd to her first school disco and that is what at least 85% of all the other 4-7 year old girls are wearing.
dd was wearing a new long sleeved tshirt with sparkly hearts on it, a denim skirt and boots.she looked (to me!) pretty funky. most of the others looked like they had escaped from a particularly tasteless wedding
dont remember all these hideous frocks at parties...should my dd have one?!!

not if you don;t like them !!!! i think those dresses are pretty , if not terribly practical , or warm !! i don't think that i would buy them for DD , i prefer the boots, / tights/ skirt combo too !

oh god no! My dd is always the only girl in trousers when it comes to parties and things. At least your dd will have a sense of style when she gets a bit older.

dd1 has a couple of party frocks (monsoon sale bargains) but usually goes in trousers/skirt top and boots combo. she likes the party dresses for sit down and eat politly parties, tea parties, not running and playing parties.

glad it's not just me then. it's january ffs!!
was a little worried that dd would come home and demand one of the aforementioned dresses....but no!
bless
