I have a bunch of vouchers to spend in John Lewis. I'm going tomorrow and I'm going to treat myself to some new make up so I'm really interested to hear what others on here recommend & what you would splash out on?

I'm thinking of getting a good foundation as I only ever buy high street and I need something with better coverage but not cakey. And I'm bored of my naked pallette so might see what eye shadows are knocking about. Maybe a contour kit?

Please offer any recommendations!

Oh, pomegranate noir bath oil is delicious. It's a sort of dark, spicy, fruity, smoky scent and I adore it!
I'm sorry you didn't get on with your shopping trip. And I wear so little makeup: I find the dazzling counters and ferociously made-up ladies terrifying. But I have been back to the Bobbi brown counter several times to try new things, and they have always been great and tried out the products properly on me.

Re Bath Oils - I never buy the ones in the glass bottles at Jo Malone as they are dearer and once when I did have one dropped it in bathroom on tiles and it broke and had hardly used any ! I love the pomegranate noir for winter and TBH all year as love fragrance - in summer love French Lime Blossom ( not Lime Basil Mandarin). If you like a scrub the walnut & geranium scrub is fab. Depending on £vouchers a small candle would be lovely too.

Going back to BB - the lip palettes are lovely and in Chanel the Les Beiges face powder is light but a treat. Have just treated myself to a Chanel blush stick and its light and natural.
