Trying to dress a 5 foot 6, 11 year old girl with a 34C bust in age approprate clothes. Help!!!

Hi, as you could see, my daughter is very big for her age! She is an adult size 12, but can also wear age 16 from Boden or Next. These are the only two children's shops I've found that I like, that do her size.
She likes dresses, skirts and girly looking things. She has no interest in shopping, so she's always happy to wear what ever I choose.
If any of you know of any shops or websites that I could try, that would be great. Thank you.

Um... Not to be a mumsnet cliche but have you done a bra intervention?!

Also uniqlo and gap do nice plain women's things that might work for her? Or white stuff has "pretty" clothes if she prefers- but probably need to size down.

Or maybe fat face? Jack Wills? superdry (size up!)? Just trying to think of clothes suitable for 11 year olds!

My DD is 13 and 5'8", for the last couple of years she's mostly worn play suits in summer - she has lots from Primark and New Look in a variety of bold prints and plain pastel colours. Before she discovered them she hated clothes shopping too - she knew the clothes her smaller friends were wearing wouldn't suit her and it put her off. Might be worth showing your DD some of those?

Primark also do great ladies' size t shirts with emoji, Harry Potter, Hunger Games and Disney slogans and prints, which go well with leggings or skinny jeans - again, these are a good length on my DD and she's a size 10.

Oh and yes to Superdry / Hollister / Wills t shirts too!

I know the issues my 11 year old is the same size almost exactly and I have the same problem. She mostly wears primark t-shirts with jeggings or stuff from h and m (14+ size).

Think a 34C bra is possibly correct - that was my bra size (size 12) for years, and its currently DD's bra size, and she's a size 10-12 aged 14, but she's six foot tall. Aged 11 she was 5'7". We have had to use Old Navy (Gap owned US site that caters for tall girls), Johnnie B until she grew too tall, and ASOS tall now. I sympathise - its really hard. American Eagle do great long legged jeans. Personally we've never found age appropriate clothes in Toyshop etc. SuperDry is great but pricy.

Thank you, I'll have a look at those playsuits and she already has some T-shirts from Primark, we were delighted to find a Despicable Me one once which she loves! I've also bought some things in H&M as their 14+ seems to come up very big.

BCBG your dd is more likely to be a 32D .

Next go up to age 16 online, agree New Look and H & M are worth a look too. Also Boden teen range Johnnie B often have reductions.

If M&S fitted her as 34c my bets are on 30DD

She really likes the look of these 50's style dresses, but at her age, I'm not sure if they'd look right? Either like she's dressing like an adult or trying to look like a toddler? She has no interest in fashion at all, but is drawn towards cute, girly and young looking things. She hates being tall, so I think she's trying to say 'I'm young!' with that she's wearing.

Interesting that M&S are bad fitters! Groan, I just spent £16 on two bra's thinking they were a perfect fit. I looked at the chart, and the straps do fall down a lot! I keep having to tell her to pull them up. which really pisses her off.

DD is 12, 5'3" and a size 8-10.
I like primark for t-shirts (hogwarts ones are popular atm), tunic dresses with leggings etc.
H&M jersey dresses, knitwear and tops are good.
Debenhams red herring were great for jumpers in the winter.

Lindybop do all 50s style clothes. You could have a look. Perhaps one of the skirts with a plain top for a party if that's what she likes. Obviously some of it probably isn't right. but you might find a couple of pieces Also I don't know what size Lands End kids go up to but it is an American firm so would imagine larger. Also agree Fat Face.

Uniqulo is fantastic for basics. DD dresses almost exclusively from there.

I agree, a bra intervention is needed. DD is a 30D and a size 10. John Lewis do some perfectly acceptable teenage bras in suitable sizes

Miss Selfridge has some pretty summer dresses.

Also try boohoo (cheap, and massive selection, thiugh need to look carefully for cut out bits and so on); and Asos. Asos do a good thing where you pay for delivery for a year and get next day delivery and free returns.

Dd also gets a lot of stuff in H&M. But their website is a nightmare, delivery slow, and sizes mad, so best to shop in store.
