Help me find a dress. My neck is covered in bruises.

I have an important event coming up tomorrow. After an operation, my neck is covered in bruises and I have a scar (luckily not too noticeable). Ideally I would like black but am open to suggestions. It needs to be fairly modest (not boring though, just not a clubbing dress but not a work dress). I am five foot and a size 12.

Sorry for the short notice.

Could you just wear a normal dress and cover the bruises with a silk scarf?

burnishedsilver · 02/06/2016 11:51

Is this too daytime?

You guys are fab, knew I could rely on the MN style and beauty gang. I'm off into town in a minute to have a look and they are all gorgeous. Particularly love the Phase 8 one.

I went for this in the end. It looks a bit frumpy on the hanger but looks fab on. I'm going to accessorise with some nude heels, gold leaf shaped earrings and a sparkly gold handbag. Got some matching nail varnish too and getting my hair put up tomorrow. Exciting Grin

Nice dress, but surely it doesn't cover the bruises?

Sammysquiz · 02/06/2016 18:31

You can go for that Phase Eight one, you can get 20% off if you go to womanandhome/phaseeight

Sammysquiz · 02/06/2016 18:32

Oh hang on, it's actually womanandhome.com/phaseeight

burnishedsilver · 02/06/2016 22:50

It's lovely.
Are the bruises on your chest and shoulders rather than your neck?

TutanKaDashian · 03/06/2016 10:47

With this dress, you can see about 10% of the bruising whereas with the dress I was going to wear I was more like 80%. Unless I wore a polo neck then I don't think I could do too much better GrinFeeling a lot better about it now and off to get my hair done at 12.

And yes, it is neck and shoulders.
