Where's your handbag from?

I'm desperately looking for a new handbag, I thought I'd cracked it with a Cambridge Satchel Co EastWest tote but it arrived today and I'm massively underwhelmed. Plus I just can't live with the lack of inner pocket. So for inspiration purposes Grin can I be nosy and ask where your current handbag is from?

Longdistance Where did you get your internal pocket thing from?

InanimateCarbonRod · 01/06/2016 20:57

Furla. It's duck egg blue and perfect for summer.

Gunshot I saw the Fiorelli bags on QVC and really liked the look of them ( the Mia Tui bags as well) I don't buy leather bags.
My current ones are Kipling (I have 3 -black,brown and a grey crossbody)
I fancy something less slouchy so I'll have a look in TKMaxx (though I never have any luck in there, it's all lime green leather and sequins when I go)

New look....
Although I don't use it very much. My purse and phone etc normally go into DC3s changing bag 😁

My criteria for an all rounder:

Must be crossbody but have a grab handle/shoulder strap too
Must be brown/tan/cognac leather (goes with everything)
Must have at least two inner compartments to stop the inside being stuff soup
Must be easy to access - no buckle fastenings for example
Must be big enough for all daily items...purse, phone, keys, diary, sunglasses, packet of mints, small make up bag...plus extra room for whatever the kds hand me such as hats, gloves, small toys etc
Must not be massive though
Must look the biz

I spent two months choosing my bag. I spent more than I originally intended to but the bag I bought...I would have loved it at the age of 16 and I love it now at 40. It's very me and I'll get 20 years out of it if not more. It's the bag.

I'm actually in love with my Fossil bag. It's big enough for an umbrella and small lunchbox but small enough that I can't fill it with all kinds of shit.

Where's your handbag from?
midnightmoomoo · 01/06/2016 21:07

pictish I did the same to find the perfect bag for me. Then my best friend decided to cheer herself up one day and bought the exact same bag.
Mine is in the wardrobe, I can't look at it without being cross!!!!
ridiculous I know, but I spent months looking for MY bag and now it's ruined

FitLikeQuine79 · 01/06/2016 21:08

Mulberry. I always wanted an oak Bayswater so treated myself to one when I got a promotion and before DDs came along as I couldn't afford/justify buying one now I've got them. Would love another one though (Mulberry bag, not child).

TWOBANANAS · 01/06/2016 21:09

Navy Longchamp one. I love it!

pictish · 01/06/2016 21:10

CoCo - awww. Fuxache.

rightknockered · 01/06/2016 21:12

I have an old red leather cross body from Jigsaw. Goes surprisingly well with almost everything.

havalina1 · 01/06/2016 21:16

I'll say the dirty words then, I've a Michael Kors bag. It cost me 425 and it's gorgeous. But I've hacked it to death the past 18 months and it's time for a new bag to murder. It owes me nothing.

I have a lovely Kate Spade bag waiting it the wings.

Itsaplayonwords · 01/06/2016 21:19

Accessorize. Their bags have always lasted me really well.

spanky2 · 01/06/2016 21:27

I'm enjoying this thread. Love oogling handbags.

Sweaty Betty yoga bag for trekking backwards and forwards to gym and All Saints bag for going anywhere else.

WaitrosePigeon · 01/06/2016 21:32

Longchamp Large Le Pliage in Navy is my favourite. Using a Mulberry at the moment.

Bails2014 · 01/06/2016 21:33

1980's Mulberry leather satchel, it's been sidelined for 18 months for a smaller bag whilst I had a big changing bag to lug around but now it's back, it's lovely, congo print tan leather, frayed, stained and a bit scruffy. I just can't replace it.

Kittykatmacbill · 01/06/2016 21:38

Fjallraven totepack it fits everything in can be a civilised tote or a shopper and converts into a backpack when chasing after children. 2 internal pockets.

MadisonAvenue · 01/06/2016 21:40

Mine's just a plain black Radley large cross body bag (think they call it their pocket bag?).

naichick · 01/06/2016 21:42

Coach, but Ive got a few from russell and bromley that are very sturdy and a mulberry mini alexa but they are stupidly expensive! Russell and bromley good quality and value for money imo

Sweetandsour93 · 01/06/2016 21:42

I've got a tan bag from Oasis, it was a great bargain in the Christmas sales and has remained strong despite all the rubbish I carry around Grin

poorbuthappy · 01/06/2016 21:46

YY to campomaggi.

TheFuckersBitingMe · 01/06/2016 21:46

Navy and cream pinstripe Mulberry hobo. I love it and have had it for 6/7 years, I have a few other Mulberrys but none are used even half so much as this one. It goes with everything (tan leather straps that can go cross body or over shoulder) and it holds an almighty amount of tat. I will hold a funeral and build a mausoleum for it when it gives up living.

mice · 01/06/2016 21:51

A red Zatchel - I love it!
