I haven't worn a swimsuit in 20 years

But DD wants me to go swimming with her. She's almost 3 -DH took her swimming last night and she LOVED it but she said she'd like me to go too. So I need a swimsuit and have no clue where to look. To complicate things I'm 9+5 weeks pregnant but after 2 miscarriages I'm not counting eggs until they're hatched.

The rest: size 14/16 (probably closer to 16), boobs need some support after breastfeeding. Any ideas??

Buy a bra sized swimsuit with underwiring from a place that sells underwear . I can't face doing it in store so I order loads of different styles and sizes from Figleaves or similar and return all the ones that don't fit.

As you'll be expanding perhaps go up a dress size now? The swimsuit will probably have 3 hooks, like a bra, so you can start on the narrowest setting and work outwards if you need to later.

When you buy bust support swimwear it's good to remember that the suit shouldn't necessarily be your actual bra size. For example, I'm a 34G, but 34 equates to dress size 12 on the rest of the suit. My bum and waist haven't seen a 12 for years though more 14-16. So I go up a band size and down a cup size when I buy a one piece (36FF) - sister sizing.

Freya do lovely bikinis which are great for norks. I'd give their swimsuits a whirl.

I wear a sporty one with no specific boob support to take DD swimming but I'm sure I look horrific in it. Probably should invest in a nicer one.

I'd forgotten about bra size swimsuits. TBH not certain what bra size I am right now - I went from breastfeeding bras to sports bras! Time to find a tape measure.

I second Freya swimwear. They can be a bit more expensive, but are well constructed, provide good support, and wash well.

I'm liking some of the tankinis on the Freya site www.freyalingerie.com/swimwear/resort/blk16/padded_halter_tankini.aspx?colour=black like this one BUT I have wide hips and I'm wondering if a tankini top would just ride up?? Anyone know?

When I was pregnant I got togs from next and dunnes they look like a tanking but are actually a one piece. They had drawstrings at the side to ruche up the tanking part and as I got bigger I loosened the drawstrings to stretch it out.

The one piece tankinis should he ok hello because even if the ride up a little there won't actually be anything on show and also you can just release the drawstring a bit.

It's hit and miss but you can get lucky with swimsuits in tk maxx.
