Dare I ask about QVC Beauty?

Because I find it really quite distracting.
So far I've been (almost) convinced to buy from the Laura Geller range, Mally Beauty, OPI, Nails Inc and SBC to name a few
Do you have any experience of these products?
Tell me whats good and what's not worth the money.

I'm not keen on the Scottish one - Ann somebody. I mainly look at it online now

coleus · 29/05/2016 09:54

Not keen on JF either!

I buy Decleor TSV's because I use all of their products at one time or another, Australian Bodycare tea tree shower wash in litre pumps and Alpha H.

However, having discovered that John Lewis do 20% off Decleor every now and again and M & S sell Alpha H at 20% off my interest is waning.

However, as background noise I love QVC Beauty!

I've learnt so much about skincare since I started watching in the early '90s
'In the salon with Alison' used to be amazing.

Dame Ooo that's good to know, thank you.

EnidButton · 29/05/2016 13:29

Just google imaged Jill Franks to see which one she is the one with the annoying hair and she apparently has quite the foot fetish following. Confused

My experience with returning an unopened L'oreal mascara to Boots was met with 'it's makeup, you can't return it'.

No amount of explaining it was unused and unopened and that I wanted a refund because Superdrug had it cheaper would get them to budge.

Saying that, a problem with a Lancôme product causing me spots got my money back on the spot and Clinique are amazing at refunds so I'm guessing the independent posh stuff has a different returns policy.

Libitina · 29/05/2016 13:35

I buy LOADS of beauty stuff from QVC. I usually wait until they're either a TSV or on 'easypay' so I can spread the cost out.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 29/05/2016 13:40

I've returned used make up to Boots as well as unused. I even returned a pair of gel insoles that I'd already cut to size and they didn't bat an eye lid. I'd have emailed customer services in your position Coleous.

EnidButton · 29/05/2016 17:07

Apparently Boots policy is no returns on make up used or otherwise but as its good customer service that might affect repeat custom, it's at the store's manager's discretion. So depends on your local store.

BonitaFangita · 29/05/2016 20:08

Oh I didn't know that about Boots thanks for letting me know.

I've just ordered the Balance N Brighten and an OPI Set with the Nail Envy and Avoplex which I've wanted to try for ages and some really lovely nail colours. I can't believe the value £35 + P&P!!! The NAil Envy on it's own is £20 in Boots Smile
Thanks for you help everyone, can't wait to get them home and try them

Hope you like them!

BonitaFangita · 06/06/2016 20:29

I got the OPI stuff and am really quite impressed 😊💅 the coloured nail envy is lovely, and the hand cream is lush. Haven't tried all the colours yet, but just painted my nails a very fetching shade of blue.
Not got the balance n brighten yet.

I love Laura Gellar B&B, bronzers and cheek colours, also some Mally and Tarte stuff. OPI is much , much cheaper on QVC mil have also bought my DDs Philosophy and Benefit gift sets that were very good value. The giant Philip Kingsley elasticizer and shampoos are also good value

SBC was very ordinary. I bought a big set and it sat on the dresser for about two years before I accepted that it was a lot of over priced, ineffectual gloop and got rid of it.
