Where do you buy your clothes from?

Hello, I was looking at the thread about Boden and was curious where all of you buy clothes. I have never bought anything from Boden, it isn't to my taste. I normally go to M &s for their Limited collection and splash out on nice jeans and shoes from Liberty's or equivalent. Any recommendations anyone? Oh buy the way I am absolutely useful at finding things in Top Shop or New Look, I find it too daunting. I don't buy clothes very often.....

Depends on how flush I am but mainly:

Next (I get vouchers for christmas/b'day)
M&S (Ditto)
Ebay
Top Shop
Warehouse
Oasis
Monsoon

Having said that, I never look particularly great!

bought gorge black silk skirt, a-line with pleated front and net underskirt, with lilac flower print for £24.95 reduced from £110

get trousers from M&S because they seem to be the only place that makes them the right length to fit my short legs (and jeans from anywhere that does variable length like Levis)

otherwise, Zara, GAP, Tescos, Sainsburys and the odd thing from Kew and Topshop

I'm a bit fussy and can't do wool (too itchy) so hunt around for cotton stuff in the main. But I'm right round the corner from every shop possible so I'm spoilt for choice really!

Oh and I just placed a big order with LaRedoute for the first time. Don't know what it'll all end up looking like but some nice stuff in the catalouge.

thanks everyone!

i like toast too but only at sale time.

Has anyone else ordered from la redoute? is it any good?

i used to get stuff from jigsaw but now find the colours a bit drab - i like brighter things now particularly at this grey time of year.

i love buying from

monsoon
boden
m&s per una or limited also like their basics
debenhams particualrly rocha stuff
new look
asda
tesco
ebay

faves are monsoon and boden but usually for skirts and then buy cheaper tops from m&s, asda or tescos as the boden and monsoon ones are funny fits

JonesTheSteam · 17/01/2007 11:21

George at Asda
Next
Tesco
M&S - per una
New Look

I've ordered stuff from La Redoute - most of it was lovely - but they annoyed me last year when I ordered a jumper and they took 6 months to tell me it was out of stock!!!

Having said that, I like a lot of the clothes in their new catalogue.

I do get some things from LTS anniemac, mainly t-shirts. They clothes are very expensive, £50 for a pair of jeans. I'm not prepared to pay that for jeans i will be wearing while crawling around on my knees with mindees, I'm not prepared to pay it at all, i can't afford to. I also think alot of their knitwear is very expensive £45 for a long sleeve top, and from what i have seen of some of their stuff it's not very good quality either

MummyPenguin · 17/01/2007 17:16

I'm banned from clothes shopping as I developed a bit of a habit. I'm being really good at the moment. Usually though, Primark or New Look. Sometimes George at Asda.

Pinkchampagne · 17/01/2007 17:33

I buy a lot from French Connection, especially in the sales!
Also buy clothes from Warehouse, Oasis, Jane Norman, Karen Millen (in the sale)& sometimes get bits from Debenhams.
