I have a red dress that fits the rules and suits me. But hats?????

If it is such a worry, I am surprised you applied for the RE with all the faff involved!! However, take your dress to a hat hire shop. If you cannot find one, go to any department store and there will be something suitable. 4 inch crown required. Hostie Hats are worth a look too. With red you can go for black, red or cream. Or mixing two of the above. Shoes and bag included. Closed toe shoes in case it rains.
