Skechers and plantar fasciitis advice

itsbetterthanabox · 16/05/2016 11:08

I'm on my feet at work. I have plantar fasciitis. I need some lighter, cooler more summery shoes as my boots are now boiling my feet.
I've seen on here that Skechers are good for this. Those wise ones who wear them can you recommend which are best please?
I need super soft comfort, support on the arch and they need to be black.
Found these 3, any opinions?

Or is there something better?
Thank you!

Personally I don't like the second pair because they have those fixed elastic laces that can't be adjusted, I have several pairs of Skechers and always avoid those.

Thanks I did think lace up would be better. More supportive. I didn't realise you can't tighten the elastic lace ones.

Sketchers don't offer much arch support, have you looked and tried Fitflops? They are very good for plantar fasciitis. For sketchers I think you have to try them on and see which one offers better arch support.

I have several pairs, one a pair of trainers (with laces) and a pair of "go walk" pumps. These are the most comfortable things I have ever worn.
I would suggest you go and try some on, they have a number of types/styles so find the one you like best. I got mine from Brantano.

I wear Skechers go walks which are super soft and very lightweight but I also put orthotic insoles in as I don't find them that supportive on their own.

I have plantar fasciitis so have tried lots of options. Sketchers go walks are so comfy and seem to take pressure off the heel even though they don't have a huge arch support. I also have fit flops (only in flip flop sandal style though) which are fabulously comfy. they redistribute pressure around the sole of the foot and it really works. birkenstocks are good for it too, but probably not suitable for your work.

try some sketchers on to see which fit you best: the go walks are i think quite wide (ok for me, but i've got big feet) so the lace ups might be best for all-day wear.

good luck with the PF - i've had it now for 5 months, and the last few days it seems to have got a bit better so fingers crossed it's going.
