I realise there have been previous similar thrreads on this but all the ones I looked at seem a little old. I have been using Estee Lauder doublewear ,but it irritates me that it's in a jar so there seems to be a lot I can't use as it won't come out when it's nearly all gone! Anyone using a similar product in a tube?! Or can reccomend a similar product...I need it to stay on and a lot of foundations don't seem to stay on all day.

L'oreal infallible 24h matte works very well for me (I have VERY oily skin). I have tried other more expensive brands but none are as good. It won't be any good if you have dry skin though as it tends to exacerbate dry patches etc. I do also use a primer and a make up setting spray from make up Forever which helps it stay longer on my face.

Should have said - my mum also uses it and she's happy with it - she's late 50s (and she STILL has very oily skin...)

Benefit 'Hello Flawless' Oxygen Wow foundation is fabulous - long lasting, buildable coverage, very light - makes me look wide awake and, literally, flawless. I don't like heavy make up at all, but this is perfect coverage without weight.

I've got Estée Lauder double wear - the lighter version in a tube.

If you like the coverage you get with Doublewear, try Clinique Beyond Perfect. I've found that as I got older, (almost 47), Doublewear was just too drying and went cakey. Clinique one is a little dewier and lasts really well.
They will give you a 7 day sample if you ask. Full size version is in a bottle though. It has an applicator, like a large lip gloss sponge, which I hope will be helpful in getting the last drops out. The applicator is also for applying as a concealer too.
If you want even more longevity to your make up try Urban Decay All Nighter spray. It's fab. You can buy a handbag sized version for £9 if you want to give it a go before buying the full size.

I find Dior Star gives quite good coverage if you use 2 layers. It does tend to melt a bit if you use too much moisturiser under it but otherwise it's good.
