Can I wear Ecco shoes in my 30s?

DM gave me these as they don't fit her.

They're really comfy. If I wear them, is it the beginning of the end?

No you can't wear those. But them on ebay and get yourself something else. :)

HeirOfNothingInParticular · 02/05/2016 14:57

Meant to add, you've got another 50 years before you will have grown into those. My Mum is 76 and wouldn't wear them.

hownottofuckup · 02/05/2016 14:58

What are you wearing them with?

MitzyLeFrouf · 02/05/2016 15:31

Putting those shoes on will be like stepping through a portal into a dark world where all you'll be allowed wear is Ecco, Kaliko and Damart.

Next your mother will oh so casually leave a clear plastic rain hood lying around and you'll find yourself looking at it thoughtfully thinking 'well it does look very practical.....I might just try it on. What harm can it do?'.

Take heed OP.

LizzieMacQueen · 02/05/2016 15:34

Some Ecco shoes are nice but not those ones.....someone older will appreciate you donating them to charity (to Heir, would you really bother putting them on ebay?).

DurhamDurham · 02/05/2016 15:40

You said it yourself......it's the beginning of the end. I'm all for comfort but there's got to be a line and these shoes would be crossing it.

Ebay has free listings this weekend according to an email I've been sent.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 02/05/2016 15:43

Wear whatever the fuck you want that is comfortable.
Ignore the proscriptive fashion police of mumsnet.

Judging other women is condemned unless they're wearing fugly shoes.

MitzyLeFrouf · 02/05/2016 15:44

I'd definitely stick them on Ebay, especially if they're unworn.

PeterPiperPickedAWHAT · 02/05/2016 15:45

Oh damn. And they have such lovely support for the arches. Sad

Thank you, wise ones, for reigning me in.

Mitzy, I have only recently done an online search for clear plastic rain capes Shock

Thanks, Breakfast Smile

To be fair, I did ask (and am very grateful for the replies)...

I also think you should wear what you like and never ask MN for advice.
