Hi, does anyone here use these products? Specifically her concealers-secret camoflague and one which you blendtwo colours together? I have red thread veins on my cheeks which iare not horrific but i am vv conscious of, now, i have tried every brand of concealer-from No7,clinique,benefit, blah, blah, have tried awful green tinted things too. Any advice received gratefully!!

Yes I have some LM products but not the concealers. I know they are really good tho as a friend works on the LM counter in a posh shop and has used them on me before. Why don't you go and have someone make you over at a counter and try the concealer out. It doesn't cost anything and you can see how it is for your skin.

bagpussmice · 11/01/2007 17:30

I have the LM concealer, it's not one you blend with another... but it's in this great little pot and lasts forever as you only need a smidgen to hide blemishes, spots, dark circles... def. recommend it.

interstellar · 11/01/2007 17:35

Thanks for the replies,am a bit a scared of places like Space NK which stock Lm- will just have to be brave!

take a look online

carriepops · 11/01/2007 17:42

I use it, it's very nice and has lasted ages. Good coverage... I like the Benefit boing one too

Lorina · 11/01/2007 17:45

You can have thread veins removed (or at least toned down considerably) with laser therapy or electrolysis.

reiver · 13/01/2007 13:22

Can anyone recommend a good online supplier of Laura Mercier products please?

AitchTwoOhOhSeven · 13/01/2007 13:45

i thought it was really, really difficult to use, actually, the formulation is very solid. (but then i wasn't using a brush, just my fingers). the little pots sound good though.

interstellar, as it happens i've met Nicky Kinnaird, the NK of space nk, quite a few times. she is a formerly quite chunky, fairly ordinary-looking belfast woman, very cool and funny (brain and heart like a tank, though).

believe me, she just wants your money... there's no need at all to be intimidated in there, the staff are trained to be super-helpful and friendly and if they're not, complain as Nicky is the type to do a flying visit and land one on them herself...

bearsmom · 13/01/2007 13:46

Space NK do mail order and you can order online from them, however postage and packing is an (imo) outrageous £5. But I was in the Space NK shop in Bath the other day trying to get the LM foundation I use (v. good stuff for covering the mild redness I suffer from) and they didn't have the colour I wanted. The assistant told me to call the mail order section (number will be on the website), tell them I'd been into the shop on several occasions to get it but they're always out of stock, and ask if they'll send it to me postage free. Haven't got round to trying this yet but will soon.

I find the Space NK shops a bit daunting too, but the one in Bath mostly has friendly staff and one of them worked out a brilliant wedding day make-up for me.

chonky · 13/01/2007 13:52

I swear by her foundation - it is fabulous. The foundation beats the pants off Chanel Vitalumiere (baits the cod, who seems to think that Vitalumiere is the best foundation ever ...she must be still reading the style threads surely?!) Space NK stores friendly too.

StrangeTown · 13/01/2007 17:20

I think coverage from LM products is very good, only need the tinted moisturiser as opposed to full foundation, so I imagine the concealer would be a great option for thread veins. Please do be brave and go to Selfriges or somewhere to try the make up. I regularly go and get them to put full face of make up to try new products etc. tbh I think most of the assistants like doing it...I go on Fridays on my way home from work and then leave it on to go out if not too dodgy...

expatinscotland · 13/01/2007 17:42

I love her stuff!

I use the tinted moisturiser, the foundation, the secret camouflage concealer, the under-eye concealer, the stick blush in Blossom, and the lippy in Just Lips.

FAB.

I get it sent to me from the US so it doesn't cost so much.

caffeinequeen · 13/01/2007 18:00

LM concealer is really good. I am v pale but the mixture of the yellowish colour and with a bit of touche eclat covers any zits/bags. You might also consider Chanel Blanc Universel which is amazing too (it looks weird in the box - as it's just white almost like panstick but it hides a multitude of sins and looks awesome. Also works on my sister who's got a much ruddier complexion than alabaster me!
hth

brimfull · 13/01/2007 18:05

LadyMacbeth · 13/01/2007 19:44

interstellar · 13/01/2007 19:56

Cheers all for your replies, I am going to brave Space Nk at the new Brunswick centre in Bloomsbury, good to hear lots of reveiws before i blow yet more money!Lorina, i have considered laser removal of the veins, but woulsd be scared of some awful disaster!! They are not terrible ,but i have v fair sensitive skin and although am careful with sp factors think it's wind damage from lots of outdoorsy stuff !!

swifterella · 13/01/2007 22:34
