Past volumes here.

I tried to post on the previous thread and realized that it was full.

Anyone still around?

I have a parcel from Korea waiting for me at the post office. Can't wait. Grin

Sorry, it's not LRP but this Bioderma one.

RussianTwist · 07/06/2016 08:11

Hi guys,

Can you tell me what the golden Tony Moly Egg Pore thing is? (The egg). What is it supposed to do?

LumpySpacedPrincess · 10/06/2016 07:22

I may be late to the party but I tried the Holika Holika red wine sleep pack last night. It's amazing, my skin is super bouncy roday and really glowy.

KeithLeMonde · 10/06/2016 08:52

Hello all, I've been lurking on here for a while, trying to catch up with 6000 messages......

Finally took the plunge with some birthday money and ordered myself a couple of Mizon products from beautynetkorea which haven't arrived yet. However, I was in TK Maxx and noticed that they have lots of sheet masks, various types all by Dermactin TS. I bought a pore refining one as I am having a lot of issues with breakouts at the moment (permanently crappy skin). Tried it on Wednesday and oh my goodness....... I look about 5 years younger - probably more. I can only put it down to the mask. It had loads of lovely liquid (essence? is that the word?), very wet, and I didn't wash it off afterwards. Has left my skin looking so lovely and plump and glowy. I've never had an effect like this from a product before.

I will go and search the six threads now to see whether anyone has mentioned these masks before but I was very impressed! £4.99 for 4 masks seemed stupidly reasonable as well.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 11/06/2016 08:34

Keith, sounds like you've just had an encounter with Hyaluronic Acid, 'tis marvelous! Grin

Get yourself some nice actives and that'll really help your skin. If you can't wait for your parcels to arrive you can get started with some western products. Stridex do a great skin clearing BHA and Nip and Fab do some super AHA products.

KeithLeMonde · 11/06/2016 21:55

Thanks Lumpy :) will check those out. Also have cosrx on my shopping list for my crappy hormonal skin.

Parcel has arrived from Korea. Mizon Snail Repair Cream and Good Night White Sleeping Mask, both recommended by MN posters. Samples: Skinfood Aloe Watery Sun Gel. Tonymoly The Chokchok Green Tea Watery Cream. Tonymoly Prestige Jeju Snail Essence. Any ideas about these, oh experts?

AuroraPolaris · 11/06/2016 22:22

Keith I agree actives, or acids would probably be good for your skin. It's a hassle to find out what works for your skin and you have to build up (start once or twice a week, and even wet the cotton pad for the first couple of weeks, diluting the product), but it's really worth it.

Also, you can use any moisturizing serum you have before the sheet mask, which will even enhance the effect of the whole thing.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 12/06/2016 09:48

Which Cosrx products have you got coming?

I am still in love with my Mizon Snail cream, even though I have posher snail stuff now. I honestly think a lot of snail allows me to use my actives everyday as the snail is so soothing. I use the Mizon last, as an occlusive. I also mix a bit with my bb creams and it makes them a much better consistency.

I always follow Cleanse, Actives, Moisturize, Occlusive, Treatment. Sometimes with 5 products, sometimes with 20. Grin

I would recommend you get some decent sunscreen next, and think about cleansing. Oh, and some Vitamin C, you'll need some C. Maybe a smidgen of Collagen too...

And off down the rabbit hole you go Grin

botemp · 12/06/2016 14:21

I may have fallen down the rabbit hole again Blush

I was only meant to be buying some cleansing oil (which I did, v. sensible muji) only to get distracted. I've been looking into buying with wild abandon some Naruko products from Taiwan. It was a bit of a nightmare to research since it's a relatively new brand (2012) and have changed formulations quite a lot (for the better) but it all looks very promising and it's very cheap (on ebay sold by the company itself). I got a night gelly (their star products), a hydrating toner, and some masks (where you stretch the bottom over your ears Shock v. curious about those). They have a secondary more cosmeceutical line called AM/PM which is all about peptides with a bit of retinol here and there but it's pretty hard to get updated INCIs and reviews so still sifting.

Aurora I was down in Rotterdam yesterday and discovered they have a TKmaxx (a few k-beauty things, konjac sponges, etc. but more interesting are the rest of the cosmetics, a lot of brands we can't get here like Nars. Bought a bunch of Vita Liberata for v. cheap) and a tiny little K-beauty shop called Conceptual Styles (they have a webshop too) that has a really interesting selection, a lot of things hard to get outside of Korea like Blithe (was already intrigued by this brand, more so now after sampling all of it) and Klair's for reasonable prices (cheaper than I could find online). I think other brands come in a little more expensive (etude house, etc.). I was good and only bought three masks from Blithe and Klair's, will try one tonight and see how they measure up.

HeyMacWey · 12/06/2016 14:28

I haven't posted for ages as I've been quite happy with my routine and products last for ages so I haven't had to buy anything to replace.

I am coming to the end of the missha longer name ampoule and am long for alternatives - I like the missha one but I'm wondering if there's anything better for me.

I've also just bought the dhc lash serum that fifty shades of snail mentioned recently. Will report back on whether it's actually helps my short straight lashes grow.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 12/06/2016 16:40

I'm hankering after the Banila Co Miss Flower and Mr Honey range, I may try the oil though I don't really have a need as I use Rosehip oil every night, just before my sleep pack. I see they do a Miss water and Mr Oil range now, tempting...

I too am happy with my routine and don't really need anything, until my Mizon Toner runs out. They're discontinuing it so I'll need another low ph toner. I am gutted as I love the stuff. Sad

botemp · 12/06/2016 16:55

Is it the Aha/Bha toner Lumpy? I think I saw a post on that, I'll try to find it again but the gist of it was something about the material of the bottle was altering the formulation so they're looking for new packaging which is taking longer than expected so it wasn't discontinued just really hard to get for a period of time.

botemp · 12/06/2016 17:12

Found the post, it's here, the Mizon 8% Serum had the same issues so isn't discontinued either but when they'll be back remains a mystery.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 12/06/2016 17:20

That looks hopeful botemp! I was going to try the Missha Time Revolution Clean Toner, but I prefer to continue with the Mizon one. It's one of the few parts of my routine that is "fixed."

I always use C serum, AHA, BHA etc but I shop around and change brands, but my toner, I love my toner.

AuroraPolaris · 12/06/2016 20:53

botemp I knew there was a TKmaxx in Rotterdam though I've never been, but now that you say they have Nars, the makers of my favorite blush... I rarely go to Rotterdam, but maybe I should find an excuse reason now!
I just ordered the big DHC cleansing oil bottle from ICI Paris. I will run out of the smaller one in a little while and since I could not resist the 40% off the mascaras...

Still waiting for my Sulwhasso samples to arrive. They are taking quite a long time, actually. And also settled on this Mison eye cream as the INCI list looked the most interesting and it has no silicones.
I didn't order the Black snail cream yet as I really don't need it at the moment, but once I finish one of my night masks I certainly will. Also still very very curious about their Peptide 500 and the Collagen 100.

Yep, the AB rabbit hole has no bottom, or at least I have put hit it yet, or even seen it! Ever!

AuroraPolaris · 12/06/2016 20:54

Not... Auto correct again...

banivani · 14/06/2016 12:43

I've been lurking the thread for ages, so bored with my skincare, running out of products and too lazy to do a Big Shop, but today I bit the bullet and did a Jolse order. I ordered

  • Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask
  • Holika Holika Soda Pore B.B Deep Cleansing Oil (I just need more cleansing oil)
  • Benton Snail Bee High Content Skin (I love the essence and ran out, will try the "skin" because decided to buy the new fermented essence)
  • Cosrx Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask
  • Benton Fermentation Essence

Have dithered about ordering Benton in the summer but hey ho, nothing chanced nothing gained! I have such skincare ennui and am paralyzed by the amount of products available.

kitchenunit · 14/06/2016 12:51

Just marking place until I can get onto the pc.

I fell down the 50 Shades of Snail rabbit hole and was 200€ the poorer by the time I emerged... Still waiting for deliveries!

LumpySpacedPrincess · 14/06/2016 17:19

banivani let us know what the Benton products are like when you get them. I love Benton but have also avoided ordering new products over the summer.

I'm still in love with my Holika red wine sleep pack, it's jelly man, J.E.L.L.Y!!! Grin

And, it magickally settles into undisturbed jelly overnight. It also works!

I wanted to ask, what C serums is everyone using? I'm in the market for a new one.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 14/06/2016 17:21

kitchen is this your first foray into AB or are you topping up supplies?

kitchenunit · 14/06/2016 17:34

First foray. I've got form for getting obsessed by stuff. Last summer it was perfume and I spent hours and hours reading up, buying samples and reviewing. Conclusion - a shelf full of delicious smelling bottles and my wallet considerably lighter.

My new thing is skincare and I've been learning about AHAs, BHAs and Hyaluronic acid. I'm turning 40 and starting to get fine lines so it's time!

My regime so far is:

Morning - face wash (clean and clear by Johnsons, been using it 25 years), day cream then sun screen (waiting on one recommended by 50 shades which is non clogging)

Evening - Soap and Glory cream cleanser (just using it up really), face wash, AHA Nip and Fab pads, Retinol serum with Hyaluronic acid and moisturiser.

Once a week I do a deep cleansing mud mask. I'm waiting for my BHA and cleansing oil so I can start sorting out my SFs.

Still very much starting out, trial and error. The array of products is bewildering!

banivani · 14/06/2016 18:09

Ooo yes C serum, meant to get that. Ah well. I feel like a Benton pioneer re: the fermentation essence so I'm hoping it'll get here fast and not be stuck fermenting (zziiiiinnnnggg) in Seoul airport...

strawberryblondebint · 14/06/2016 18:22

Newbie here. Although I am addicted to missha bb cream. Can anyone recommend me a light powder just to set the bb cream. I have a terrible habit of rubbing my nose and it always looks quite red as I wipe off foundation or bb cream. I also have developed what looks like a spot but is in fact a red vein or something that I need to cover. And finally eyebrow products. Can anyone recommend something. I am a natural strawberry blonde so need something suitable for my colouring. I like them quite dark but not scouse brow. Are the peel off eyebrows a no? Oh and where should I buy sheet masks from. I fancy trying them too. Skin is bit sensitive and prone to dry patches.
That's loads. Any help much appreciated.

banivani · 14/06/2016 18:49

I've bought Missha the style cashmere powder something fitting? and it's grand but I'm not enamoured on the whole. A bit dusty. Not quite invisible. I don't love it.

I bought sheet mask packs from cosmetic love and they're good value. Innisfree it's real masks, I like them for budget! But I've also bought Taiwainese masks from Cosmic Beauty UK which was good.

LumpySpacedPrincess · 14/06/2016 19:59

I love my AB routine as it means I wear so much less make up. I've tried Asian bb creams but there not for me, I have cracked my foundation holy grail with Face Atelier. I still use my bb's but mix them with some moisturiser as I find them a bit heavy now ('cos my skins FAB Grin)

This is tonights routine, I did have a bit of time on my hands though.
