I would like eyebrows

Mine are wishy washy and a bit patchy. I wouldn't want a pair of those scary giant black things though so I'm not sure what I'd ask for?

You go first, and if you look ok, I'll do it too... Grin

Behooven · 04/04/2016 18:50

How about one brow each - seems fair

I'm going for HD next week

Behooven I'm sure you'll love them! Please whatever you do, don't get a 5pm or groupen deal with semi permanent brows - I've seen some disasters. You have to do your research.

AgentProvocateur · 06/04/2016 21:57

Great! Please report back. I'm sure you will look fabulous.

I've had mine done today at a place in Newcastle. They look very similar to how I do them when I pencil them in but a better shape. The whole thing was fairly painless but they are ever so slightly sore now.

Behooven · 07/04/2016 22:43

Is it the threading part that's nippy? I've had mine waxed before so I'm used to that.

When I had mine threaded I found it nippy though still not bad. Getting them tattooed on was less 'nippy'.

Rapid Brow. Used it, it works. Takes at least 6 weeks and you need to keep using it as hairs have a life cycle and once they have fallen out you are back to square one.

CaptainWentworth · 08/04/2016 13:56

ImBrian where did you go in Newcastle?

My eyebrows are an OK shape but quite light and sparse, and as I have very dark hair I have to fill them in every day or it looks like they've disappeared!

PollyPerky · 08/04/2016 15:02

Captain if you use rapid brow your eyebrows will grow back. Mine are about 50% thinner than when I was younger. I use brown powder shadow to make them bigger but when I use Rapid Brow I am even having to pluck them a bit. I stopped using it for some months as it's expensive but you need to keep using it - but you can reduce how often (ie twice a day to start with to once every other day when brows have grown back.)

ImBrian · 09/04/2016 22:03

Captain I'll pm you

Hey OP: Sorry for hijacking your thread, but hopefully, I can join in your quest to find some advice here...

I'm currently re-examining my eyebrows and having seen my sister go for her 2nd tattoo on them (last time was 3 years ago so this is a top-up, so to speak), I've been thinking whether it's the best way to go.

Stats:

Hairs sparse and fine, lighter colour to my black-brown hair
No arch whatsoever, just a straight bit from the beginning and peters out after 3mm
Oval shape face with nice cheekbones and small jawline (as in chin)
Eyes small

I've always used a light black brow pencil but usually it rubs off by midday but I don't bother with foundation and powder as I'm a light make-up user (eyeliner pen and blusher, that's it.)

Since seeing her new brows, I've started looking online for finding out about brows and how to get the natural shape to them, and have pencilled/darkened the brow more and it's more defined in the photos I've had taken, so all in all, I am on the right path to getting them more defined. Originally, I pooh-poohed semi-permanent tattoos as I thought they looked too false and OTT, but now I'm slowly thinking whether it's the best way to go or not. I don't want them to look like my sister's as they're very thick (not quite the Scouser-look, but getting there) and dark.

I don't pluck them very much and tend to rely on threading when I can be bothered to get them done, although I am very lazy as I think I can get away with the straggly hairs until 6 weeks later. My question now is: How do I find a decent online/person to shape my brows whether it's for guidance or treatment?

Behooven · 14/04/2016 17:11

Well. Thought I'd finish the thread after starting it. I'm pleased with them and I suppose the colour will dull down a bit. This is before and 1 hour after.

Has anyone tried microblading rather than the tattooing? Im scared to go for tattoos as shapes change over the years so I wouldn't want to be stuck with 2 massive caterpillars till I die.

Microblading is each individual hair semi permanently tattooed on and is supposed to last around 18 months, now that I could handle i think.

cardoon · 16/04/2016 10:38

Wow those brows look 20 years younger! What process, who did it and where? Grin

AgentProvocateur · 16/04/2016 11:40

Wow - where did you go in the end?

Behooven · 16/04/2016 13:27

My eyebrows are 12yo lol 😉

Threaded and tinted in a tiny bit shabby place called Bioux just along from Glasgow Central. One of the girls in my office recommended it. £10 bargain.
