Is this normal or will this have damaged my hair ?

Hairdresser used straighteners last time I was in (I have a pixie cut so never usually enough hair to straighten!)
They were steaming away - I assumed it was because my hair wasn't 100% dry yet. Now I'm worried... Confused

Im sure someone told me it's when too much conditioner or product had been used but I might be wrong

poorbuthappy · 02/04/2016 12:44

I thought it was the product

burnishedsilver · 02/04/2016 12:44

Mine does that fairly often. I'm not sure why it does it but it hasn't damaged the hair in any way. It's in pretty good condition.

Some straighteners such as Steampod are meant to steam

LBOCS2 · 02/04/2016 12:53

My straighteners steam when my hair isn't 100% dry and I use them. Definitely not product as I don't use it.

I use a lot of heat protector spray and they steam and give off a sort of smoky vapour. Hair isn't damaged at all!
