Wall Hanging - advice needed!

Have couple of beautiful rugs I bought in the Alpuharras (sp?), and wish to hang them in now-redocorated rooms.
What IS the best method of hanging off poles, so that all of the rugs are shown and they drop evenly? And best method of hanging the poles off the walls?
Is there Specialist "rug hangings" equipment? (ha!)
Any advise gratefully received. Thanks.

We made a frame from timber and tacked the rug to the frame and then hung it like a picture.

I have hung one like trice Veffective You can glue a baton to the edge and the attach picture hooks evenly along the baton BTW it looks great

Right. I need hooks to go at either end of the pole. Some nice strong cord to hang it, and some tacks/picture hooks to fix the rug to baton/pole.
I did contemplate a velcros, but rejected that.
