facial skin care for rosacea

I have rosacea and my face is s mess at the minute. My forehead in particular is very dry. Can anyone recommend skin care products that won't exasperate the condition?

Eucerin 5 percent is great for dry skin - 12 quid
But I don't have rosacea

I have to just use warm water and a flannel when my rosacea is flaring. Soap of any kind irritates my skin.
I normally use Nivea as a mousturiser but I find coconut oil is good during a flare up.
I also pinch a bit of ds2's acne spray, which helps - it's Antiac and it's great.

Cetaphil, both the face wash and cream.

I second Cetaphil, the only thing I've tried in ages that hasn't aggravated my skin

Thank you, I'm just using water and a face cloth to cleanse and simple moisturiser, but it's not helping. I didn't think of coconut oil, I have some here for my ds.

Have you tried dermalex cream?

I also have rosacea and eczema (latter not on face). I have awful skin, blackheady but also v dry! Especially winter.
I can't use coconut oil on my face, brings me up in a rash.
I am currently using hemp seed oil to cleanse with - just rub on and wipe off with a wet warm flannel - it's a fab cleanser and doesn't "strip" my skin. Flannel also exfoliates.
Was using it as moisturiser too, but wasn't enough for winter so have bought some unscented moisturiser (cream dream) from a company called PureNuffStuff. Love it - it's really moisturising but not at all oily.
I also use the oil as a post-shower body oil (put on when skin wet and then dry off). Be aware that it does make your towels etc smell of oil which I can't seem to get out!

While I am on, in case you are interested, I also really PureNuffStuff's "Keep balm and carry on" which is AMAZING on the eczema on my hands and my dry cuticles - totally calms it down and the redness completely goes when I use it regularly. Might be good on rosacea but t would be way too oily for my face so I haven't tried it.
Also love their "Shea souffle" which is a super moisturising body butter.
Have you tried some antibiotic cream from your GP if it's really bad episode? That was the only thing I found worked to calm my rosacea down, and I can now manage it with gentle skin products.

Ooo, should have said that PureNuffStuff is all completely natural, has very few ingredients and you can get it all unscented if you prefer.

I have another Dr appointment next week, so should hopefully get something. My face face is so itchy and feels like it's on fire.

Following. I have an appt with gp next week but wasn't sure whether something prescribed would be better than cleanser/moisturiser shop bought so watching with interest.

I have rosacea and eczema. Everyone is different but I found that Eve Lom cleanser calmed down and soothed my skin - now, I wouldn't use anything else as a cleanser. I use a light moisturiser (E45, which not everyone can tolerate) plus A5 Argan Oil eye cream (which really worked for me when I had eczema on my eyelids) plus A5 Argan Oil for any dry patches of skin.

I use emollient cream to wash, just warm water, rub in wash off or use a flannel. I use a cheap moisturiser from Lidl as it doesn't cause itching or soreness. I tried La Roche Posay and found no improvement so I stopped spending the money.

I will look at the other things mentioned here- where can I buy them (live in the sticks so no big shops- do Boots or Superdrug sell them?).

Hemp seed oil can be found in most health food shops. Holland and Barratt do it.

I am currently using dermalex for red patches that appeared on my face and seemed to fit rosacea symptoms. It's worked ok so far, but best see what your dr says.

I rarely get dry patches with my rosacea as my skin is quite oily, but I do get the redness and burning. I find Good Things manuka honey creamy cleanser very soothing.

I also use Balm Balm frankincense deep cleansing balm before the creamy cleanser. It removes my eye make up and cleans the greasy bits, without drying out/irritating my rosacea.

I didn't like Cetaphil at all.
