Babyliss curl whooshy roundy curler on fine long hair?

I'm almost convinced to get one, and every time I add one to my shopping cart online I hesitate, and wonder if just curling with straighteners works just as well.

I have long hair and lots of it - probably medium thickness - and love it. Takes 15mins to do hair and holds well. But I've never managed to curl my hair with straighteners- if you can I'm not sure I would bother with another £100+ gadget.

Interestingly all the bad reviews I've seen are from people who have fine hair and said it tangled.

If you can't borrow before you buy try qvc they sometimes sell and have 30 day returns policy which is great if you just don't like it.

I love mine, easiest gadget I ever bought if a tad expensive. I can't curl with straighteners though.

Do you mean the big hair? I've got fine, bobbed hair and I love mine! Had it for a couple of years. I rarely use straighteners now, just rough dry then use the BBH.

Absolutely love mine but, like a pp, I cannot curl mine with straighteners - if I could, I wouldn't have spent £100 on it as it gives a very similar curl.

However, my hair is not fine so I have no idea whether it works or not on fine hair. The instructions do say that hair should be no longer than shoulder-length - however, I clearly remember one of the Saturdays using it in one of their videos in a very shameless bit of marketing and her hair was halfway down her back

I've got long, fine, very straight hair and have both the secret curl and the big hair styler. Secret curl is OK, but it does tangle sometimes even when I'm really careful. I have to take really small a actions and so can't get the same effect that my friend with lovely thick hair can, but it does hold all day and the back of my hair curls better than with a wand. The big hair is OK too but was better when I had hair that was should length and above. Doesn't hold all that well and can look a bit 1990's big hair if I'm not careful with how I place the brush! I get a better effect with a brush and hairdryer now my hair is longer. But that might just be my awkward thin hair.

Ah a curler not a big hair then. Still, I do recommend the big hair.

Has anyone actually sent something like this back to QVC if they didn't like it? I'm tempted to try it.

I love my Babyliss big hair- it works on my hideously fine and horribly static hair. I also recommend Babyliss ceramic heated roller for volume - sounds very 80s I know but they really add loads of lift at the roots and they are only about £30. I also like that I can stick them in and then get on with something else while they cool.

I have it and it's pretty easy to use, though a bit awkward at the back. For some reason, you aren't supposed to use any products on your hair before you use it, so I sometimes find the curls are starting to fall out before I have finished.

It gives a sort of ringlet type of curl.

Oh, and I also have the big hair but hate it. No match for blow dry followed by straighteners.
