Will swimming ruin my beloved Brazilian blow dry?

Had it three weeks ago and love it - my vile horse's hair has become smooth, swishy and half the size. Using proper sulphate free shampoo and conditioner.

Need to exercise, swimming twice a week easiest but worried it'll kill the bbd. I don't want to choose between my hair and my back, anyone know if I need to?

I don't know but I really want a Brazilian blow dry - is it your first??

I don't think chlorine is recommended but equally I don't know how much difference it would actually make...

Could you use a swim cap to be on the safe side?

Chlorine and washing will most likely mean your blow B Blowdry will not last as long.

I swim very often and I've also had lots of anti frizz/ straightening lotions put on my hair. Sadly they just don't last if you are in the water a lot.

Definitely keep using sulphate free shampoo. That will help, tho.

(Sorry for the bad news)

Rj - your hair gets wet with a swimming cap too! Maybe try 2 caps??

That, or maybe slather my hair with coconut oil before I put the swimming cap on? Could that help?
