Bright green cocktail dress - what colour shoes, bag etc?

there is a green dress on this site It's not the one on the website under 'collection' but it is that colour and it's from Coast. It's strapless, boned top and fitted then A-line 'skirt' to just below the knee.

I have black shoes, bag - is black ok or should it be gold or silver? I'm usually good at these things! Help!

It's for a 'dinner dance' btw.

TIA

Would avoid black personally if I could - it often looks too harsh with a strong colour - and go for something more muted, like bronze or pewter.

Black would seem just fine. They have another green item on the site teamed with black cardi... Just make sure the shoes and bag aren't too klunky if it's a dinner dance.

Have black things and am on an economy drive now! What about these shoes

oh, they're lovely! still not cheap if you're economising though - maybe try the black and see how it looks...

twinsetandpearls · 02/01/2007 19:23

I think they will go very well.

twinsetandpearls · 02/01/2007 19:23

and a good colour to go with future or other past purchases

The bronze twinset?

It's funny, I was thinking it was great I have black accessories already but I thought it might be a bit 'predicatable' (ha ha!) and was wondering whether brown/bronze would look better.

£33 isn't too bad for a pair of going out shoes I don't think. What about a bag though?!

The black ones I have are from Next and I know I've had them 6 years at least.

yes the bronze and think the price is very reasonable.

Right, those shoes were heeeeeedious and going straight back.

Friends have suggested brown and I do have a really nice chocolate brown bag (satiny with silver chain handle - JR from Debenhams) and I have brown heels.

Brown ok?

If so, although have brown shoes could do with a darker brown and more dressy. Anyone fancy looking?!
