Hi Top Trainers with Harem/Tapered trousers - 6 hour flight

Obviously I want to be comfy, but I want to look a little bit stylist too ..... So I'm thinking down the lines of layering a vest top/tshirt with a hoody, and then harem/tapered trousers (elasticated waist is mandatory!) with hi top trainers?

Hopefully this will be OK to get me from the car park to the terminal building in the UK, be warm and comfy during the flight (I'm always cold on a plane) and then I can take the hoody off when I land?

Any other suggestions, or does this sound OK?

I can't comment on the style - it's too far from my comfort zone.

But I always take slipper socks/bed socks to wear on a long flight. It keeps my feet warm and me comfortable.

I'm guessing that Converse (the normal ones, not hi top) wouldn't work with harem trousers? Or would they ....... ??

Depends on destination? If it's beach I'd start in trainers but take a pair of flip flops and swap into cosy socks on the plane then flip flops when you arrive. For a city break if stick with the trainers.
And I do wear converse with a harem pants but not one too extreme if you see what I mean!

I can't make my harem trousers work with any closed-toe shoes, but that might just be me. You could wear sandals, and take flight socks for plane as pp suggests?

I would think a hoodie would look a bit bizarre with harem trousers and wonder if a long wraparound cardigan might be better and cosier for snuggling up on plane? Alternatively hoodie and yoga pants?

I wouldn't worry too much about what I look like for a flight though, airports are full of people dressed in slightly seasonally inappropriate clothing and nobody bats an eyelid!

Have a nice trip! Smile

Ah, I like the hoody and yoga pants suggestion, but what would I wear on my feet? Departing from Heathrow just before Easter, and going to a hot destination.

Converse, with flip flops /sandals in your bag?

Flights to OZ and Hawaii last year I wore tapered haremish trousers, t shirt, uniqulo merino jumper and sketchers go walks... absolute fail on stylish footwear front but they are exceedingly comfortable and my feet swell on flights so I can't risk taking shoes off as I might never get them back on!

Flip flops all the way and a pair of nice warm socks for the plane.
