Ash Fringe boots - opinions on these ones and will they date?

I've read lots about this make in here but have never tried them myself.

I'm looking for something that I can wear with skirts and dresses through the spring.

what do people tank of these boots?

Many thanks

I love fringe!

But I think these are a bit clumpy and, if worn with a dress, probably wildly unflattering to the legs.

ChrissyHynde · 28/02/2016 10:41

Love them !

SinglePringle · 28/02/2016 10:46

Cute! Really like and I'd wear with bare legs / short skirts and dresses too.

IHaveBrilloHair · 28/02/2016 10:46

I don't like the moccasinny front bit and I think they'd look really clompy on.

sassytheFIRST · 28/02/2016 11:00

I'd say they are already dated. Worn in the 1890s by Navaho tribespeople.... I'm not a fan. The same style on a small heel, much nicer. IMO.

ThatsNotMyRabbit · 28/02/2016 11:01

They're horrible 😮

HarmonicaJones · 28/02/2016 11:18

Honestly? They're shockingly awful.

herecomesthsun · 28/02/2016 11:43

They do have a hidden 2 " wedge heel so might be more flattering on than people think.

Babymamamama · 28/02/2016 11:46

They are already dated. Saw similar around 2 years ago. And I think they'd mark quite easily.

burnishedsilver · 28/02/2016 12:06

They're a bit pocahontis. Yes, they will date very quickly.

XiCi · 28/02/2016 12:27

I think fringe boots have been around for a good few seasons now and show no sign of going away so I wouldn't worry about them dating, especially if you are wanting them for wear this spring. I don't like the Ash ones though and have seen much nicer around. ASOS will probably have a good selection, I saw some gorgeous ones there a few weeks ago and I've seen some nice ones in River Island

Love these

Absolutely vile.

muddymary · 29/02/2016 00:34

I love them!

RosyCat · 29/02/2016 03:45

I like them. Cute with tanned legs. I also like these to go with jeans.

louloubelle2 · 29/02/2016 17:27

They are too clumpy for skirts I think, but as they are in fashion, there will be plenty of alternatives around. Asos is probably a good bet. (just seen Asos has already been recommended as I was about to hit send)

They will definitely date, so if you want them to last longer than this year, and £165 is a lot of money for you, then don't bother.

SanityClause · 29/02/2016 17:29

I think they're horrid. But then I thought that of the wedge heeled trainers which spawned a thousand copies, so what do I know? Confused

polyhymnia · 29/02/2016 18:02

I was in their shop the other day and saw these. The aging hippy side of me was drawn to them for a moment, tbh, but I thought then that they wouldn't be a great investment at that price as the fringes would very quickly date - in fact, I'd say are already dated. (Had a fringed pair of short boots 5+ years ago). So, though I see why you fancy them, I'd agree with majority.
Having said that, I do like my (much plainer) Ash Virgins, which are very comfortable.

polyhymnia · 29/02/2016 18:03

PS - I also don't like wedge heeled trainer type shoes, only 'flat' ones.

herecomesthsun · 01/03/2016 19:11

I like these actually
