Does Protect and Perfect serum work?

Never used this before but noticed my previous fine lines on my face are getting deeper (since I became a mother!). Agh!
Remembered all the hype around this Boots product a few years back...does anyone actually use this for wrinkles and does it improve them? Was the hype just hype or does it work? X

Springscoming - which no 7 serum is it that worked well for you?

It works for me. It makes my skin look smoother and I'd say it takes a couple of years off me. I use the advanced one, not the intense one (next one up) but actually I think the one that got most the hype was the intense one, although both were given very good reviews. How old are you OP and what kind of skin do you have?

carlaboyle1984 · 24/02/2016 14:12

I'm 32. I have sensitive but normal skin. My smiles lines are becoming more pronounced especially on one side. Previously I have not used any anti ageing skincare. I can't afford fillers lol

Ah, your name might have given me a clue Grin

By smile lines, do you mean the nose to mouth lines? If so, I have the same thing and like you, it's more on one side. I think it's to do with the way you sleep, but grrr I friggin hate them! I think it's more about slowing down the process and maybe slightly improving them with serums, moisturisers etc, rather than making lines disappear. If and when you get the pp serum, just concentrate more on this area when you apply it.

There are facial exercises that you can do too, if you check out youtube. I personally didn't get on with them, but I do do facial massage and that definitely helps with puffiness.

Anyone know the difference between Protect & Perfect and Time Delay (both Boots own brands)
i know theres a big price difference but I read there's only one ingredient different between the two?

Nearlyovertherainbow Thanks for the tips. I sleep on my front so that explains a lot ha!
70isalimitnotatarget Yeah I heard this too! I'm waiting to see if anyone knows answer to this! X

I have tried a bazillion serums and IMO nothing beats P and P. I have used everything from the Superdrug Pure hydrating (about £2) which is fab for, well, hydrating (surprise!) but doesn't "retexture" iyswim. P and P definitely absolutely does. I am 50 and get comments on my skin when I use it. I have also used £70 a pop serums that have done diddley (Clarins, I'm looking at you) Dior Capture does something similar to the P and P and smells divine but costs about three times as much....

I am currently using the Superdrug at night, to plump my old face up, and then the P/P in the morning to smooth the ravages out and make me look 21 again. Grin

I have used all products available, but I found that the product I'm using right now works best for me. Its from Nuskin, the Future Serum and their daycream and night cream. I'm 51 and if I look at pictures from a year ago when I started using them, it really made a difference.

I've been using No7 Protect and Perfect for at least 5 years now and I add a drop of either Sanctuary's Therapist Facial Oil or Argan Oil to it. My skin is pretty amazing and I look years younger than my actual age. I then use the No7 face creams that are for the over 60s as I've found them to be lovely and rich. I'm not over 60 but I think they're great. My skin is very sensitive and I do t get along with many creams and feel itchy and tight in my face but No7 really works for me.

LyndaNotLinda · 09/03/2016 18:53

Works for me too. I started getting wrinkly in my late 40s and started using this morning and night (I buy it when its 3 for 2) and I've noticed a definite improvement.

waceystills · 10/03/2016 07:33

I use it and it works for me.

I received a few compliments when I started using it too. I really notice the difference when I've run out of it.

I use the day cream too, you need to let that sink in before applying make up I find.

ScandiCinnamon · 10/03/2016 10:56

I have used the Protect and Perfect Range for years. I really like it and have had several comments from beauticians how good my skin is.
Like BIWI said above they conducted clinical trials which proved that this product actually does what it says. The trials were independent and not paid for by Boots. And it was tested by independent consumer watch dog type groups. This is what lead the serum to initially be sold out as people were queuing in the streets for it. A years stock was sold out in 2 weeks.

I tend to stock up on it when there is a 3 for 2 offer on and even better when there is the £5 off No7 voucher.

Petal02 · 10/03/2016 11:12

I found the No 7 serums very drying (even though I've got oily skin), and had the same problem with the Clinique serum. The only one that works for me is Clarins Double Serum. It's not cheap, but it's amazing, and I'm no longer having vague thoughts about botox ..... Its a very moisturising serum.

Greengardenpixie · 10/03/2016 11:46

I have used it in the past and found it to be great. It is pricey though and doesnt last long. It made my face look great :)
