Do you check the PH of your skin care products?

And if so how do you check it?

I've recently read that Very Bad Things will befall your fizzog if you alkalize your complexion. Is this the latest thing?

What? You don't have a home chemistry set? You amateur.
But you carry urine - testing pH strips with you at all times don't you, like Elle Macpherson and I? but I don't

It's odd that you've read that alkaline complexions are Very Bad, as I thought that the latest news said that acid diets are The Worst, and also a bit old fashioned.

Can you have both do you think - acid skin and alkaline diet/body/wee?

I don't test anything, but I have emailed manufacturers to ask about it, if it's not on the box. I've decided to take their word for it. Max 5,5 is my goal! For cleansers and actives that is, the rest I'm not bothered about.

Never check

I use the internet sprites (bloggers). My skin has been the shittiest of the shit for a while (although now getting better thanks to brilliant dermatologist) and although I thought it sounded ridiculous, low ph cleansers have been really helpful.

I tested one of my acid toners once after a post on a fb page said the ph. was too high to exfoliate. It was.
I diy my own serums so I have a ph. meter.
