Ok,
DH has a very fancy works do every January and is weekend after next. Had a baby in Sept and have horrid jelly belly and can't fit into either of the dresses I usually wear.

Need an idea of what would suit me, what colour et. I'm a tall blonde, probably about a size 16, have big boobs (need to wear a proper bra so no strapless) and am very curvy, but have decent legs.

Budget up to £80 but would prefer to stay under £50....oh and I have gold mule shoes and a gold bag so would like to match with them

going shopping in a while but am dreading it as feel so fat and frumpy....

try monsoon with ruchy bits around tummy or wrapover style maybe and they have a sale!!!!

buy a decent pair of "hold it all in knickers" before you buy anything else to wear, you may fit into something in your wardrobe also it will make you feel a bit more confident about buying something new.

Try TK Maxx, I got a very nice metallic bronze evening dress from there last year for the sum of £20. Its a bit hit or miss if they have anything in but worth a look.

definately try Monsoon. I got a black lace dress from there about a month ago, it is stretchy brown material with black lace overlaid and slightly ruched around the waist. Looks good with magic knickers and would go with gold accessories. It cost £70 full price so if they have it in the sale you might get a bargain. You can also wear a bra underneath.

I have just looked at my description of it and it sounds horrible, but honestly it is nice!

This thread inspired me to look on the Monsoon website. The dress I have isnt on there but this was is, and I think gold would look lovely with purple.

Get some M&S hold your tummy in knickers - the kind that come up just under your bra, and take them with you when you go shopping.
