I had always heard that it causes spots, so I use it on my body but keep it away from my face. I know some people do though.

It's a major pore-blocker, so it's a "no" from me.

Lovely on your nails, though.

Wolpertinger · 14/02/2016 13:29

Depends Grin For everyone who loves it, there is someone who loathes it. I would say if you have oily skin, you are taking a risk but it might still work for you.

It does cause spots for some people - if you get spots then stop it!

Personally I'm a spotty person and I'd never risk it.

What do you mean by cleanser? Will you be using the oul cleansing method? I'm sure lots of people use it for that but it tends to irritate my skin used that way. I actually use cold-pressed honey, have done for over a year now. No adverse effects of any kind.

I love it for cleansing. Hasn't given me spots and makes skin feel really soft. Hair treatment as well

Indecisivejo · 14/02/2016 14:50

Gonna give it a miss as my skin is hyper sensitive and SPOT PRONE!!

It's a massive no for me - it's fab on my hair & as a body moisturiser but if it gets on my face it gives me horrific spots. Maybe do a test patch first?

Indecisivejo · 14/02/2016 15:10

Not even gonna risk it even with patch test because my skin is weird it may be ok with patch test then decides to react bit later.

Wonderful stuff if you're particularly fond of blackheads.

IJustLostTheGame · 15/02/2016 10:45

Use it on your hair. I got shiny swishy hair when I whacked on coconut oil for 15 minutes.
My face erupted into a hideous mess of spots.

squoosh · 15/02/2016 11:19

Nay from me. There are lots of other oils that are far less likely to cause spots.

not on my face, no. Hair is good, body is good too.
