Ok Style Shop Gals. The final decision. Which should it be.............???

Ok big wedding party a week on Saturday.
Which outfit should it be?

Dress

Now I can't decide on the dress in Black or the pinky colour. If I go for black with the hair piece, will it look a bit funeraly? Also what colour shoes? Will black be way too much and what colour tights? Sheer or black?

I am getting this today!!!

but i would give the hair thing a miss - might be a bit Dynasty? and get a fab shawly thing instead.

this could be where a shawly thing comes in, introduce a bit of contrasting colour near your face. then you cen gt away with either colour?

are you fair or dark haired?

I have dark hair. I've been looking round and i cant find a nice shrug that would go with it.

Will you feel under dressed without something on your head? I went to a smart wedding in Sept and only bought a headdress thing at the last minute but was soo glad I did because nearly everyone had made a big effort. (Twas a TV do - don't know what I was doing there, I got sat at table with 2 make up artists, a costume person and a locations person. I had tried hard but still felt like poo around these glamour pusses.)

Not totally bothered about the hair thing. I just thought it would be nice.
Its a meal at a posh restaurant followed by a huge party afterwards.

Bride and Groom also work behind scenes. There were a few famous people there, but not famous to me I'm afraid. From.... name of prog escapes me right now but is set in North is all heart warming and is on Sunday nights. Might be set in a factory?

Where the Heart is. Was a woman who plays a nurse there. She was very nice. Didn't know who was and wasn't famous. Sunday eves are for ironing, making packed lunches etc in our house. (i wouldn't watch it even if I had time though

Probably to be replace with something equally as heart warming. None of people who worked on it had much respect for it. Says much about them I think.

Ok back to the matter in hand, the dress is lovely in both colours but lovelier in pink.

Shoes are nice but do you have any strappy sandals in a neutral colour or metallic?
The colour says red although they look pinky online. Would they work with the pink dress or it black with pink dress or red with black dress?
Does any of this make sense?

Love the pink dress, but although I think black shoes would be OK with it, I would do sheer tights, rather than black. Not sure about the hair thing - maybe try to find something similar but without the veil bit? The veil makes it feel a bit too much like a hat, to me, iyswim.

I need to decide quickly otherwise it'll go out of stock knowing my luck lol.

I wouldn't do black tights, get a bit of spray tan on your legs and pretend it is summer.

BHS has a galaxy style dress in red for £14 in the sales.

If you go for the pinky dress what about nude tights and sparkly sandals. I think there are a lot of duff shoes around at the moment. They are either extremely high or very flat.

I'm not a fan of black shoes with a coloured dress, looks a bit... Eastern European to me.

Black dress with red shoes would work.

Black sandals with pink dress ok.
