what sort of dresses do 18 year olds wear these days?

DD hasn't worn a dress since she was a bridesmaid when she was 5.
She is a curvy size 10-12 with E boobs, no confidence and lives in jeans and baggy t-shirts.

Any suggestions?

My dd is 18 with EE boobs and bought this dress recently and really likes it. She usually wears jeans and baggy tops too.

Is it for a specific occasion?

My 18 year old never, ever wears a dress. The smartest she ever gets is black skinnies/cigarette trews and a tux-esque jacket.

Her friends tend to wear skirts and tops. Last weekend one of them looked stunning in a fitted black off the shoulder top and a full midi skirt - v 50s inspired but non fancy dress-esque. Another was wearing a short tea dress type thing, with little flowers.

Its for a party. I like that red one. I'll show her tomorriw
