Frizzy hair products to make it curl

My shoulder length hair is thick and frizzy and generally very awkward to style. I normally wash it about every 3 days and then blow dry and use GHDs to smooth the frizz. I hate flat limp hair though so I keep the volume in it. Sometimes I can't be bothered with all that because it takes 45 minutes to do. My alternative is an Elvive curl enhancing mousse but it just looks wet all day which I hate. The next day it's fine. The question is, are there any products that will turn wet hair into waves/curls without the wet, crispy look? I've tried mousses, creams, serums and sprays and none seem to do the trick.

Try Boots curl creme. Rub a blob (malteser size maybe) between your hands before smoothing through hair. Comb through gently, ruffle your hair/scrunch a little. Leave for an hour or so before ruffling again (the second ruffle loosens up the product leaving soft, non-frizzy, non-crispy locks).

I've tried loads of other products but this cheap and cheerful product wins for me and I now use only it after washing.

Also, avoid conditioners containing silicone as these build up leaving your hair producty and flat.

Just re-read your OP and see that your hair is thick. You'll probably need to use slightly more of the curl creme than I suggested.

The pink curl creme is good.

A lot of the trick to having "good curls" is what hair you have (nothing you can do about that!) and how you touch it (scrunching/twirling/not brushing), rather than what product you use.
