Splashing out on cashmere jumpers - do I size up to allow for shrinkage?

Inspired by the How to Look Expensive threads, I've ordered some cashmere and cashmere/wool blend jumpers.

They've arrived and I've been doing some trying on. The small ones fit perfectly. The mediums are a little baggier than I would usually wear. All machine washable on a cold woollen cycle, according to the care lables.

So, should I stick with the smalls? Or go for the mediums, anticipating a bit of washday shrinkage? Not had cashmere before and I don't want to make an expensive mistake!

They shouldn't shrink if washed with care, by hand in cold water with non biological wash.
That said I bought a Brora cardigan 2 years ago and sized up 1 size as their sizes are small

wash carefully and they don't shrink
