Love these - in theory £50 but got a discount of course. Snug, stretchy and thick

JackandDiane · 26/01/2016 17:36

What i like about them is the ( pervert klaxon) snug fit around the top of the thigh and the torso.
no gaping. Hold on i have a pic somewhere

I had been sitting down for a long time before that listening to a long story about my mum's neighbours and the planning permission!

They've changed the names on the website recently. I don't know why.

J&D, those shoes are lush - did you get them online?

JackandDiane · 26/01/2016 19:08

in the shop mate - Regent StraŠe
Omg they had loads, I thought 17.99 wasnt bad ( are all padded too) till i get to the till and are even less.
Also have the leopard ones and the chain ones that are still online

Has anyone got the high rise ones & are they comfortable? I've been considering these for a while to hold in my muffin top. Bit more than I usually spend on jeans though.

GreatAuntLavinia · 26/01/2016 20:56

Jemster I've got the high rise ones in dark denim. Yes, they are supercomfortable. They cover muffin top without digging in at waist and are comfy round the crotch as well. I'd go down a half size if you can get them. Once they're on for a few hours they loosen up and slide down a tiny bit, so it's worth having a snugger fit at first to avoid the slippage later on I think. Really hate having to hoist up my jeans every time I stand up at work.

Jemster · 26/01/2016 21:33

Thanks, I'm a 27 ideally in petite which they never seem to have in stock. Will keep checking.

I tend to suit slim leg better than skinnies. Do the slim leg work ok tucked into boots does anyone know?

FankEweVeryMuch · 26/01/2016 21:51

Size down, I didn't and mine are too big in the waist now. The style means that they don't fall down too much so I'm not too sad.

FankEweVeryMuch · 26/01/2016 21:52

Oh wait, mine are the straight leg not skinny. I've ditched the latter.

MsMims · 26/01/2016 22:03

Would these work on an hourglass shape? Levi Bold curve was my go to for jeans that fit on the hips and waist but they've been discontinued now!

JackandDiane · 26/01/2016 22:07

oh dunno i am skinny legs , short waist - no waist, but it is short!! Grin

You have to order a 27 online. Gap don't stock them in the shop - but do stock a 25. Bloody annoying. But the high rise is lovely for full tuckage of stomach. Need washing after 2 days, ideally, as do loosen up then.

Higge · 27/01/2016 08:51

MsMimms I'm an hourglass and I wear the Slim straight - fabulous fit!

RiverTam · 27/01/2016 09:00

Are they definitely actually skinny? Any Gap jean I've tried on which calls itself skinny is what I would call straight. I want to be able to pull in a pair of boots without having to do any tucking in! (What I'm really after is anything approaching the old Topshop Kristen jeans but no luck so far!)

MsMims · 27/01/2016 14:01

Thanks, will give them a try!

JackandDiane · 27/01/2016 16:44

you want a legging jean then
