Wine glasses with a paper napkin wrapped around.

drosophila · 21/12/2006 20:29

Are you sure? DP is convinced we need to buy something.

I have an inkling that Anthea Turner was drinking mulled wine out of a mug or cup last night...

Definitely something with a handle.

scatterbrain · 21/12/2006 20:31

Yes wine glasses deffo we don't use napkins - just hold by the stem ! We're tough we are - we have asbestos fingers !

he maybe thinking of those mug glass things that they sometinmes serve gluhwein in - don't need them though - everyone I know uses ordinary wine glasses except one family who use mugs !

Carmenere · 21/12/2006 20:32

Look as I said last time cod was worrying about serving white wine out of champagne flutes: if you are welcoming and relaxed your guests will be happy and won't notice what they are drinking out of.

Then LGJ came on and accused me of being cheesey but it is true!!

In Germany Gluhwein is always served in mugs.

Much nicer than wine glasses IMO, you can wrap your hands around them.

me23bottlesofsherry · 21/12/2006 20:34

Yes mugs!

newgirl · 22/12/2006 13:07

tassis · 22/12/2006 13:37

Quootiepie · 22/12/2006 13:37

The pot it's made in

MamaG · 22/12/2006 13:38

I drink mine out of wellington boots.

Quootiepie · 22/12/2006 13:39

MamaG · 22/12/2006 13:40

I worry about putting mulled wine into normal wine glasses - worried they are going to crack with the heat.
We have this punchbowl set that someone bought us for our wedding years ago which we tend to get out and use instead.

ComeOyeFaithfulVeneer · 22/12/2006 14:08

We use glasses like this for mulled wine and irish coffee.
