I have always considered White Stuff clothes to be the height of frumpdom.

This confirms it.

ShatnersBassoon · 16/01/2016 19:22

It's all a bit wishy-washy and slightly misshapen. It looks like stuff you'd buy at a jumble sale.

whirlybird42 · 16/01/2016 20:08

I had a thread on just this last week. It's bloody awful in there nowadays. I used to like it when they did simple, quality pieces. Now it's all hideous patterns, thin fabrics and frumpy lengths. And everything bobbles.

It's basically per una but pricier Confused

whirlybird42 · 16/01/2016 20:13

Omg, having said this I do own the skirt from the first video! It's far nicer in real life. The only ws sale purchase of the season.

It would have never occurred to me to put it with black ankle boots. I won't be doing that.

PollyPerky · 16/01/2016 20:16

the other thing is, the shop is now full of old ladies who look in their 70s.

Floowho · 17/01/2016 11:48

I really like certain pieces. I have a couple of great winter tunics that are really flattering, and they wear really well in term of washing too.

It's always been for mums around the playgroup stage of parenting though before they get their mojo back, hasn't it? Same with Seasalt.

More than a whiff of the style of the primary school teacher about both of those .....

Thats the thing though, in real life matched with other stuff, it can actually look quite nice. The styling is dreadful. When i see something i like, it is quite often in the magalogue. When i got to look at the videos, i just OMG no no no...I bought the w.stuff velvet skirt [ mini] in a beautiful dark red. Its adorable. When you the model in the video wearing it..it looks fairly crap. The stuff looks awful on the video and studio models. It is largely how they are matched together. Saying that some of their prints are going through a really hiddeous phase. Gone are the days of beautiful colour combos and artistic prints. I used to have the most gorgeous dark pink velvet skirt. It had a kind of sunflower print. It was stunning. Gone are the days!

I need these leggings now
Damn you

Catpants123 · 17/01/2016 17:19

I think it looks the same as it always has except just a bit dated now.

Floisme · 17/01/2016 17:55

They were never cutting edge but at one time they did lovely colours and fabrics and I used to admire them for sticking to their own 'signature' style rather than trying to follow trends.

But now the fabrics are rubbish and you're right, the colours are bland as well (although at least it's not all black and beige). It's a bit sad how they seem to have lost the plot.
