I've got this lovely floaty tunic from Principles, I want to wear it out on Thurs night with black leggings & heels, will I look like mutton, or worse still, like I'm trying to copy Leona?

I think there were threads about leggins recently, what did the jury decide?

laneydaye · 19/12/2006 18:53

indigNativity · 19/12/2006 18:54

Do you have good legs ?
If yes/passable then go for it

Mud · 19/12/2006 18:55

leggintgs look shit

FrayedKnotRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 19/12/2006 19:48

How do you know you are older than me Cruella ?

I don't think leggings look bad generally but just haven;t seen them on anyone over the age of about 25...

But I don;t go out much so I've no idea if women my age would be seen dead in them..

I think I can get away with it legswise, it's the age thing...

they are disgusting, if you have any self respect you wont buy them

expatinscotland · 21/12/2006 14:30

No, please don't. Outside of a dance or yoga class.

Mutton, mutton, mutton.

They look great - on my 3-year-old.

ginnedupmummykissingsantaclaus · 21/12/2006 14:42

Only if you've got fab legs. Otherwise they look gross.

Also they might make the tunic ride up and give you a saggy bum and nobody wants that now do they?

What about over a nice pair of black trousers?

Caroligula · 21/12/2006 14:47

Wear them wear them wear them.

I want leggings back.

lovelymoo · 21/12/2006 15:17

You can always wear them under a short skirt with your top but i would wear them if you feel comfortable in them

MerryMegandSnowySoph · 21/12/2006 15:33

Brill, something trendy I can wear whilst up the spoot.
What shoes can a pregnant woman wear with them? Last time they were in it was leggings and trainers hehehe

lovelymoo · 21/12/2006 15:35

Wear them with some flat pumps if you can't manage heels

ameli · 27/12/2006 18:58

they look ridiculous, i really dont understand why something so obviously gross could be deemed as fashionable.

I wear them, but with flat pumps only - never with heels. And with a very long top/dress so no thigh is showing!

PeachysaysBlwyddynNewyddDda · 28/12/2006 21:32

The foil ones are inspired by some in harvey Nicks apparently (was in Times), apparently the saddo types are putting anmes on a list for them. Bizarre in every way.

personally, Is ay no to leggings. My legs are OK, but I just feel too old (I'm 33). I'd go for jeans. Having said that its just the sort of thing I'd buy if I had PMT and then regret.
