sorry if this is lazy or has been asked before.

im quite keen to do a workout at home but have joined on neighbours and suspended wood floors so the whole house shakes when one of my kids jumps etc.

is there such a thing as a fitness dvd, apart from yoga, that doesnt require loads of jumping or bouncing around!

any suggestions? thank you!

If you search for 'apartment workout' on YouTube you'll find lots of quiet, non jumpy workouts.

You can do lots of free weights stuff, and body weights (press ups, tricep dips, lunges, squats...).

I also live in a flat with wooden floors and I find Jillean Michaels No More Trouble Zones is a great workout with minimal jumping. There's just a little bit in the warm up.

You could also try working out in a room which has a tiled floor - for us that means the kitchen or bathroom. It's cramped, and there isn't loads of room to leap around in, but it's still feasible and the floors don't shake!

Yoga?

Newyearnewme2016 · 13/01/2016 10:28

I used to do the Geri yoga one years ago. Don't know any recent ones sorry but it was good.

Newyearnewme2016 · 13/01/2016 10:31

Oops just spotted you said no yoga.

The Davina 7 Minute Fit one was pretty good - lots of variety on there, several of the workouts didn't involve any crashing around Smile

Exercise bike - you can get folding ones. Can get as good a cardio workout as you like and no impact on floor. There are DVDs, on-line videos to help with workouts.
