Dress
Possible shoe 1
possible shoe 2
possible shoe 3

I need to do this on a mega budget purely because I've just got my xmas credit card bill and it was not pretty.
Soooo
I'm not sure the dress will suit me. Am only 5 3, average chest, paleish, dark hair.
What do we think to the shoes too?
If anyone can find me something else, pref dress and shoes for a gooooood price I'd be greatful!

spykid · 19/12/2006 15:39

Love the dress, have just biught similar style one from top shop, like purple shoes I think

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 15:40

Good good.
Wasnt sure on the purple. Do you think they'll go with the dress?

OP posts:
Quootiepie · 19/12/2006 15:40

not shoe 1, maybe abit... all the same colour? like your trying to hard to colour co-ordinate? ooooh, but they are lovely.

Ill leave it up to the experts...

Quootiepie · 19/12/2006 15:41

ooooh, but then again... I love the bow on shoe 1...

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 15:41

Arse!
The dress is now put of stock in my size
Think I'm gonna cry now. I cannot find anything!

purpleturtle · 19/12/2006 15:42

I like the dress, nbg. Tis lovely.

Haven't looked at shoes, cos when I tried pair one my explorer shut itself down. Nothing to do with your link, just another glitch in IE7.

earlgrey · 19/12/2006 15:43

Dress - yes, stylish, you'll look beautiful in it.

Shoes - No 1. Definately. No contest.

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 15:43

Oh gosh purple!
Back to drawing board now anyway.
Just my blummin luck.

purpleturtle · 19/12/2006 15:43

Oh no! How annoying.

purpleturtle · 19/12/2006 15:44

When do you need it for? Could a MN dress search be mounted? (Cos we've all got loads of time this week...) But some MNetter work in city centres, surely?

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 15:45

Well its the 6th but need it for the 4th because we're going to BIL's house then.

Shoe 3. Don't go for gold shoes with a gold dress. No no no no no.

If you can get it held for you in the Croydon store (try Debenhams too) I'll go in and collect/post it for you.

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 15:54

Actually, why didnt I think of that!
I could call my local store and see. If not dragon, could I take you up on that offer?

caffeinequeen · 19/12/2006 15:58

I would always steer clear of shoes with an ankle strap with a shorter dress too, as it shortens the leg - and often q uncomfortable. Love the dress though.

greenday · 19/12/2006 15:59

Lovely dress! Gold shoes and gold dress would be too OTT (think red top and red shoes ... very nooooo). Definitely purple shoes, I say. It would bring out your dress better.

katierocket · 19/12/2006 16:00

Lovely dress. Agree that gold dress and gold shoes not a great combo.

BrandyTutter · 19/12/2006 16:04

am i too late?

fab dress but everything else needs to be minimal

i would say continue 60s look with black opaque tights and black patent/suede round toed shoes

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 16:04

Just tried our local store, no joy and a really big store where my mum lives and nothing there either.

Is there anywhere else online that I'm not thinking of?

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 16:05

Oh and to top it all off, the shoes are now out of stock
[insert bawling emoticon]

OP posts:
spykid · 19/12/2006 16:08

what about this one?

purpleturtle · 19/12/2006 16:13

there must be something even more fantastic out there. Have the sales started yet, or can you bear to hit the high street one day next week?

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 16:15

Hmmm, not sure on the colour spykid. It says gold on the description doesnt it.

OP posts:
greenday · 19/12/2006 16:17

Have you considered dark brown shoes? They're easily available. Better still if brown with gold lining.

NbgSparklyYellowFeathers · 19/12/2006 16:18

Ok have called 7 stores, all with no luck

The search starts again....
