are you a good packer and a stylish dresser? if so please come and help me!

I am lucky enough to be going on a trip to Venice, just me and dh, as a (v late!) 40th birthday present to each other!
We can only take hold luggage, so one small bag each.
So, stylish mumsnetters, what on earth do I wear and how do i pack for four days in a mini bag?? also what to do re shampoo/condtioner are you still allowed to take such things? ( not flown for a few years!)

When are you going? It's cold there right now so will make a difference to what you need. I went in march a couple of years ago and it snowed!
Regarding liquids, for hand luggage you can take 100ml bottles ( up to a total of 1 litre of liquid) so you can take plenty! Don't forget to put them in a clear bag like a sandwich bag that you can take out of your case at security
