Winter Wedding Outfit - Any Budding Trinny and Susannahs Out There?

Help needed! We have a wedding to go to next month which is very exciting - but I have absolutely no inspiration when it comes to an outfit. Summer weddings are so much easier!

I need something suitable for both the ceremony itself (in a very old drafty church), and for the dinner and disco afterwards (in a very posh hotel). Obviously there are loads of evenings dresses in the shops now - but I don't think they're really suitable for the church bit - plus I don't want to freeze my ar$e off!

The budget's around £100 (I have black heels) and I'm hoping to get something in the sales. I'm short and slim (size 6 - which is a pain, though size 8 might be OK), and would like something fairly figure hugging but not tarty. No slim-fit trousers either as I have Fatima Whitbread legs.

Any bright ideas? Oh and I don't do hats!

there are some lovely prom style dresses in monsoon - red ones and green IIRC. Bound to be reduced after Christmas and you don't need a hat - some sparkly hair clips from Accessorize will do.
