Under Arm Waxing

Hi, I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post so sorry if not.

I've won an under arm wax in a raffle at a salon but I'm slight anxious to have it done and trying to decide whether to or not.

Has anyone had it done and if so did you find it significantly painful?

Thanks.

Did it once, and was fine at time but a couple of hours later felt like someone had punched me under each armpit! Would never do again. Can you ask if they would swap to bikini/ leg?

Make sure they use hot wax, not strip wax, and you'll be fine.

It's a bit ouchy, but quite a satisfying ouch, and the pain should go off within seconds.

I agree with wicked. Call them and make sure they use hot wax.
Fwiw I get a full wax every 4 weeks. Armpits is the best (?) bit, over so quickly and doesn't really hurt. The results are amazing. To be honest, the worst bit of any wax is the tweezers on the wee stragglers at the end

TBH the worst bit is the waiting for the hairs to get long enough to re-wax.

I really couldn't go back to shaver stubble (I bought my DD the depilatory cream and a Ladyshave so she'd never have to endure a wet shave)

I don't find leg waxes painful but they are tedious. I use an epilator on my legs because I can mindlessly just waft it over while watching TV Grin

I barely notice it being done!

I've only done it at home, so I should think it's better in a salon. It's painful - more than tattoos, less than childbirth - but quick and lasts well.
