Can I ask all you bag lovers for your recommendations of leather cross body bags?

I've been looking at the Mulberry site, it's full of lovely things, but even with the sale reductions I can't bring myself to spend that much on a bag.

I want a nice cross body bag for everyday use, in leather rather than canvas or oilcloth, medium sized and for up to £200. All suggestions gratefully received. TIA

I was also going to suggest Mimi Berry - I have Peggy in green and a tan Musette. The leather she uses is beautiful and they are lovely understated bags that just get better with age.

my dd got me a lovely coach cb bag. Grey and pale yellow, lot of styling detail , so very decorative and feminine+ well made and well priced. Wd love another-are you reading this dd?

I second Fossil. Not too expensive, especially when bought on a discount!

I have maybe 4 leather cross body bags from them, 1 large black, 1 medium black, 1 brick red travel, 1 mustard, and 1 hot pink.

Fossil again. Absolutely love their range and you can often get "new with tags" on e-bay at huge discounts. Even so, they are fabulous quality and nowhere near the Mulberry price range. I have tan, black and nude pink across body bags. I love them.

However I am currently having a love affair with Kipling

I did mean a ‘classic’ tan bag rather than a class one...made myself sound pretty down with the kids...
