been done to death (probably even by me), pixie cut

I currently have a chin length bob which has grown out quite a bit, going to hairdressers tommorow but have decided I think I want a pixie cut. I love my hair when it's down but I have to wear it up for work and it ends up pulled back off my face and makes me look awful. I have had short hair before and always loved it (until a so called friend told me I looked like a fat lesbian)Angry. Dh says he loves my hair short, I am over weight and I do have a round face.

So just for vision I have included a pic of my hair now and a pic of when I put it up in a way that looks short (if that even makes sense).
Excuse the selfies I am shocking at taking photos.
So any opinions (as long as they aren't too mean) and any styles you think would suit? Ta

love audrey hepburn pixie cut but feel I would also end up a bit less audrey and a bit more spock.

Mines kinda like this only dark, I went from bra strap length, to a bob then to this, I like it but every morning I look like I've been breakdancing on my head. Hmm
Any tips on how to prevent this are welcome

What about long front and short back? You can just chuck front in a pompadour style and not worry about back.

I've just cut my hair from waist length into an undercut and find it takes me 10 minutes to do my hair adter washing it, whereas before I could spend ages and it would always looks horrendous

I like Crazybaglady's idea of the front long and back short, it's so easy to just clip the front back.

I'm watching the styles in this thread with interest. My hair has been short for almost 7 years now and I love how easy it is but I've recently had a new hairdresser, due to my usual one being on maternity leave, and I'm not 100% comfortable with her plus I had it cut slightly shorter than usual and although when styled it looks good, it falls into oldladysidepartingflickedfringe style when out in the wind. I don't want to use a lot of product though. She's cut it twice now and first time I was pleased with it but the cut she did a few days before Christmas was pretty crap. Now I'm debating whether to keep it shorter or grow it out a bit.

here

How about something along these lines?

WizzardHat · 06/01/2016 09:57

I also ended up with the Spock when I showed them a picture of Audrey. Lesson learned: there's only one Audrey. The rest of us need a different haircut. I do still have short hair though.

ditavonteesed · 06/01/2016 14:51

want to see it? More Bixie than Pixie and I had to come home and mess with it as the hairdresser always makes it massive.

You did it! Wow! It suits you. Great cut & the colour is fab.

Cocolepew · 06/01/2016 16:00

Oh wow! Thats fabulous, you look great.
Definitely pixie Wink

SilverHighlights · 06/01/2016 16:08

That looks gorgeous on you, it's perfect.

PolovesTubbyCustard · 06/01/2016 16:51

I love it.

I think it really suits you. Glorious colour too.

I am currently a pixie cut wearer. Had all mine chopped off in April. Currently bleached silver blonde and v short.

Planning a softer look for winter montha and think a darker colour as my skin and hair look about the same shade atm.

Well done on being brave. It was worth it

Sallystyle · 06/01/2016 16:58

Wow. I take back everything I said.

It really does suit you, I was totally wrong. You look awesome :)

ditavonteesed · 06/01/2016 17:34

thanks Smile hairdresser said it's weird how all length hair suits me, I can wear any hat as well, compensation for the body maybe Wink

That looks amazing!! It really does suit you - oh, and I'm jealous because hats look hideous on me!

absolutelynotfabulous · 06/01/2016 17:51

You look great. Suits you better than the bob! I think it makes your face look thinner because the fringe sort of cuts into it (if that makes sense).

ditavonteesed · 06/01/2016 17:59

it does, it also covers up my wrinkly forehead whic has to be a good thing. I was worried on the way to the hairdresser I was looking at everyones hair and the only people with short hair were older ladies, I made the hairdressers promise I wouldn't look like an old lady. (nothing against old ladies)

absolutelynotfabulous · 06/01/2016 18:18

I'm an old lady and I have a pixie cut (of a sort)Grin. My fringe genuinely covers the wrinkles, though.Wink

ditavonteesed · 07/01/2016 16:31

loving this, just washed my hair and it took me all of 1 minute to do it, quick balst and a bit of wax and job is done.

Newyearnewme2016 · 07/01/2016 16:35

It looks amazing!

WoodleyPixie · 17/01/2016 14:40

Your hair looks fab! (Came over from another thread) when I saw the first pics, I thought no way, don't do it. But you did and it looks amazing.

LuluJakey1 · 17/01/2016 14:45

This is my favourite pixie cut. I take it with me to my hairdresser who looks patient and does her best.
