I have no idea whether the MN S&B board wants a thread by and for those of us who have, perforce, come to terms with our crêpe. And with our fulsome post-menopausal bellies, inability to maintain posture for long or our fucking chin hairs.

I'm embarking on yet another style rethink: I find I'm having to do it every couple of years at least, as my appearance keeps changing. I found this! advancedstyle.blogspot.co.uk :)

Anybody fancy joining me in a creative approach to the adventures of becoming an old woman?

Here are some pictures from the blog.

I love those Joseph jeans - a very clever cut indeed. I quite like the pooled trouser look but it's not always what you want. Interestingly that 'balloon-like' cut is used by quite a lot of European labels - these Oska jeans are not a million miles away from the Joseph ones.

I've got a pair of beautiful silk twill gathered and tied trousers from Jaeger - in the heavy silk they're rather pyjama-like and actually a lot more flattering than they should be. But I like things with a high waist (over the Belly of Age rather than cutting into it).

Your Jaeger pants (not yoga pants, heh) sound lovely, niminy. I should revisit this waist thing, and see if I can locate a suitable area for one on my torso. Currently I'm pleased when I manage to effect a straight outline rather than bulging!

I love the Joseph jeans (getting so bored with skinnies) although I fear they would swamp me. I also really like the shape of that stripey top. And it has sleeves too Yay!

I am so over skinnies Floisme. I have a pair of high waist wide-legged jeans in quite stiff denim that I love. Worn normally With a fairly fitted top. I'm really enjoying having a different silhouette.

I'm looking forward to seeing some new shapes on the high street. Not so much flares - I'm still bored with them from last time around - but I've always liked the baggy trousers with fitted top and brogues look though it's not a very practical outfit in a rainy climate.

Lovely, an S&B thread for wrinklies! Please may I join? I have resurrected high-waisted full cut trousers. The skinnies I shall keep for dog walking as loose legs look pants tucked into wellies, and wellies are the most essential item in the wardrobe this year so far.
