I am going to a black tie party tonight and have the dress sorted. It is knee length, black with a low round neck and a low round back. There is loads of material in it and without a belt it looks like a maternity dress (!) but with a belt it hangs very beutifully from the waist to the knees. It also has very wide sleeves, almost batwing. Can't find a pic online, but its from H&M. I suppose, with the sash the dress looks almost ancient greek style.
I have this belt to wear with it, which looks really nice.
BUT the only shoes I have a pointy patent black ones which look truly awful. I need something to go with this urgently. Any idea?
